This used to be my local until I moved and I certainly have no complaints. The food is decent and reasonably priced and they always have drink specials on which makes it cheaper. Its a great place to go for a punt on a Saturday with a few beers as it is never too busy and has a big TAB area.

I love this place, the pork knuckles are outstanding and there is a great range of german beer and schnapps to choose from. They also do great german sausages and schnitzels. It does get very crowded when the AFL or cricket is on but for a regular weekend or weeknight dinner it is fantastic. There is also great atmosphere when the beer hall is open and the oompa loompa band is playing. Best german food in Brisbane.

I used to regularly visit the Shafston to play poker but hadn't been for a while and decided to check it out again. It is a decent pub which does good food in its kitchen and has a good bar and gaming area. It gets a decent crowd for the soccer or cricket and the meals are reasonable and not too expensive. Its a good place to go for a quiet beer with a few mates.

The good old breaky creek still does a great steak. Although they are a bit more mass produced now then they used to be they are certainly still high quality. I love the fact that you can still get a beer off the wood in the public bar also. They have expanded their areas a bit with a rum bar also as well as the beer garden. This is an institution in Brisbane and certainly somewhere to check out if you are visiting.

In my opinion this is the best pub for a steak in Brisbane. They serve the steaks in the actual pub itself and the attached restaurant and they are both great. The restaurant has a more extensive menu with a big range of starters and pizzas but the star of the show are the steaks. I love that they come with a ceasar salad and a piece of garlic bread to mop up your sauce. I still haven't had a bad steak there and its definitely a steak lovers favourite.

This is one of the best asian experiences you will get in Australia let alone in an outback town. Their oysters are amazing and not like anything I have tried anywhere else. The atmosphere and service is also above and beyond what you would expect of a small outback town. They have a great range of traditional asian staples and the portion sizes and prices are quite reasonable. Certainly a great place to try in Alice Springs

If you are every up in Darwin then this place is something you definitely have to check out. Its a true outback style pub with concrete floors, cheap beers and great food portions of good food. My family and I had been kayaking the Katherine Gorge all day so we were starving on the drive home to Darwin! We were originally going to Adelaide River for a barra burger but they were doing only a Sunday roast so pressed on. My steak and ribs was that big it came out on a platter and was fantastic! I also tried my wife's steak and mother's barramundi which were both great, my mum saying it was the best she had tasted. Do yourself a favour and check it out!

This place always gets a lot of great reviews and some people tend to love it but I've never been that impressed. They have a great sounding range of pizzas however they all are just so so, not great but certainly not terrible and the pastas are nothing to write home about. The service is friendly and it has a decent atmosphere however they are better pizza places for comparable money.

I had seen a lot about this restaurant on Urban List and as I had some time to kill in the city decided to check it out for lunch. I certainly wasn't disappointed, the location is fantastic looking over the river and the story bridge and the food is great. They are renowned for their dumplings and their Moreton Bay Bug dumplings are fantastic. They have a great sounding menu and my special of Hong Kong Style Pork Chop sandwich was fantastic with a great fresh coleslaw on the side. The portions are quite small which makes it great for grazing or sharing but not great on the hip pocket. Will definitely be back though and possibly try one of the banquets.

This little cafe is a great spot for breakfast or a casual brunch. They have an interesting menu with some very tasty dishes and have a relaxed setting. The regularly do dinner specials and occasionally have live music also. They also do some good little treats on the side like biscuits, cupcakes and pork pies. It's a great spot for a lazy brunch with friends or family
