You MUST book here for dinner. They fill up like crazy at night and its very busy and noisy. But the highlight is the balcony that overlooks Airlie Beach by night. Meals were in good portions and well presented . Interior has a shipwrecked theme. They even sell t-shirts and merchandise. And the toilets gave us a good laugh - buoys and gulls

The fresh fish and seafood was great. I had a salmon main and some king prawns on the side. They were delicious. the best prawns i've had.
Staff were friendly and didn't hesitate to answer questions and even kindly moved us to a table with couches when another group had left.
Rum bar was pretty good. Mojitos were well made. HIghly recommend to eat there if you are in the area.

I love this place. The cafe is cosy and set out like a house. There are little ornaments everywhere and you can read their old magazines, play with their boardgames etc.

Food is served very quickly. The menu has a small but good range of selections. Once you are finished with the main, make sure you do try the desserts too! The staff don't bother you too much so you literally 'make yourself at home'.

French at it's best!
The food was superb. Went for the lunch because dinner was too expensive! The package included entree, main, dessert + drink. But in between each course, and before, and after, you receive palette cleansers as well.Sevice was very nice.
Tip- dress up for this. There were so many suits and dresses there that day and it was lunchtime.

This place is simply amazing! Highly recommend outdoor seating on sunny days. Nice view overlooking the banks.

Went there for a catch up. Mocktails were superbly done and well presented. Food was amazing also, although a bit overpriced. but well made and delicious. Definitely will re-visit again soon. Eggplant chips were really good. Pizzas had some really unique toppings. Dips were average but cannot complain.

I also hear they did cheap breakfasts $6.50 mon-fri up til 3pm. Check their website for confirmation!

Came here for my friend's 20th. We had a few drinks and some food to share. Cocktails were innovative. My entree was deep fried cheese balls, which were great! But my rice main wasn't done well at all. Too bland and the rice was hard.
Despite that, the place was cosy and we were located on a table in the attic so that was definitely an experience.

I really loved the daily special they had on! I tried the red pepper bell one. A small cosy cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and alot to offer. Everything looked really delicious. The staff were friendly and warm and described dishes to us when we were not familiar with them.
Definitely a great place for a good chat over some good food

after reading up on this place, i thought it was worth a try because it seemed like a good place for when you are on the go. Indeed, it was very busy during the peak of lunchtime. The place provided a god selection on the menu; ranging from sandwiches, noodles, pasta bakes, to the rice dishes too, as well as some desserts. The drinks menu was long and offered a great range as well. For a small price, around $1 extra with a main, you can select a hot/cold drink of your choice. Most mains were under 12$ to as low as approx $7.
There were also daily lunchtime specials on offer too - so check those out when you go.

Food was great for its price, and portions were large too. A bit on the oily side of things, but overall, it's definitely worth the price you pay.

This review is for YAR Japanese/Korean Restaurant, Southbank VIC

I think this is an excellent deal. After reading some reviews here, i went to pay my $50 and tried dinner with a few friends. This place offers a huge selection of gourmet jap and korean cuisine. It is buffet all you can eat, but it's not displayed like the regular buffets. You receive a menu and from there, you order which dishes u would like to eat and they cook it then. This ensures that the dishes are fresh and of top quality. The atmosphere is great. I was on the second floor so it overlooked the Yarra. The dimly lit restaurant complements the slow paced dining experience. Must try the salmon salad. its amazing!

This review is for China Bar Signature Buffet, Burwood East VIC

I've always been a little hesitant with going to buffets because of bad experiences with one closer to home. But after going to ChinaBar Buffet in Burwood 4 times within 1.5 months, I think it's definitely safe to say this buffet is worth my travelling, money and stomach.
My experience began on the 1st of Jan 2011. It's worth noting that on public holidays and special events, it is 69$ per person + half a lobster. On weekdays, it is 55$ for dinner and 59$ on weekends. If you can make it on the weeknights, i do recommend that because there is no time restriction; you can eat from when it opens til it closes for the night. However, on weekends, there are two sessions which go for 2hrs each. Two hours might be a little tight on time for some at a buffet, so there's some limitations.
Apart from that, this place is filled with food of all sorts to fit anyone's appetite. Theres the seafood bar, sushi counter with a selection of sashimi and japanese sushi, soups, congee, skewers, Peking duck, the classic beef and chicken dishes... What really impressed me were the huge selection of yumcha dumplings on offer, the 20+ variety of desserts in cute servings and the instant cooked noodles, seafood mix, vegies for customers on request!!
There is so much food, you'll definitely need to re-visit again and again to try it all. Can't complain. I've been 4 times and i still havent sampled everything. it is definitely worth a try.
Lastly, if you are interested, i do suggest visiting website, because there are deals and offers, and check the dates for special events and pricing/session times just to be sure.
