I have been going to Suzina Melina since it opened, to have Peter cut my hair. I only have hair cuts - no colour or other treatments - so can only comment on this aspect. Peter is an exceptional cutter, who copes really well every time with my straight short thick hair with eccentric qualities! The salon also offers a sense of lux and style, which is very nice. The massage chairs while having my hair washed are an added luxury.

Bannettons is a local institution. Best bread (cooked in wood fired ovens). Beautiful cakes and other yummies. Great coffee. Always busy. A hint - the bread freezes well too.

Megafresh is a specialty shop stocking a deli, butcher shop, fruit and vegetable section and a gourmet range. The deli and gourmet range are excellent and well priced with a good selection. The butcher shop also supplies good quality meat, and provides good value whole pieces, such as a full rump or rib fillet. The fruit and vegetables are good quality in comparison to Coles, but have difficulty competing with those of nearby Frescos in the shopping mall. The quantity of wrapping is a put-off too. Best fresh flowers available in The Gap.

The best butcher's shop in the district. Beautiful quality products. Excellent sausages. The best chicken. We love to cook, and always find every meat product we need at this shop. Lovely caring staff. I can leave my order, do the grocery shopping at next-door Coles, then return to pick the order up. Very convenient.

This shop is consistently the best fruit and vegetable supplier I have found. Stock is always fresh and good quality. The best fresh herbs ever. Good for not using too much wrapping. Also has an excellent selection of fine cheeses, cold meats, and other delicacies.

The best seafood shop that I have found in Brisbane. Everything is reliably fresh and of the highest quality. Always has an excellent array to choose from.
