This place is great when there's a gig on but if you go there for a normal Saturday night out I'd say avoid it like the plague. It's so incredibly sleazy and dangerous. Bring a bunch of males on to the dance floor if you don't want to be groped. Most essential of all - Keep your hand over the top of your glass at ALL times, my friend got her drink spiked here, lucky she had someone with her for every moment and nothing bad happened. Be careful!!!!

This place is unbeatable if you're a student or starving artist because it's so cheap but it also has some of the best Indian food in Perth. A few of the dishes are quite hot but if you can handle you're spices you'll love it. The deal is that you eat buffet style and at the end pay what you can afford (min $5). The place is so beautiful too, being right on the river and next to the ferris wheel and the bell tower.

Approximate cost: $5

I just love the feel of this place, the eclectic furniture and the stylish cocktails. It feels insanely trendy and yet because there is such a strange mix of people there you don't feel out of place. The staff are so nice and on Saturday they have cheap cocktails!

Approximate cost: $12

FREE POSTAGE!!!! This is an online bookshop in UK that has books way cheaper than you can get in the shops here. I was worried they'd be poor quality but they look just as nice as anything I'd buy in Borders or Dymocks. I looked at Amazon first but when you factor in exchange rates and postage you don't save much there whereas book depository saved me $30 on some books!

Approximate cost: $20-30

The shoes are so cute! They have the best range of sweet flats. I brought these really nice green ones with bows and you don't see anything else like them around. The jewelry is also really cool but the vintage stuff seems a bit over priced.

You can't really find this kind of stuff anywhere else in Perth. It's expensive but I guess they have to get things shipped from all over the world. I love the range of stuff and they hand pick the most unique things. The accessories and random fun stuff are the best, for Halloween they had some amazing sugar skull molds like they use in Mexico for day of the dead. Very fun shop.

The number of times I've been about to buy something and ended up walking out are phenomenal. Half the time you wait for hours at one counter and eventually have to go searching for another which inevitably has a 5 person line and only one girl serving. Get some more staff!!! If they didn't have such nice clothes I'd never come back.

The clothes are very cheap and don't last long but since trends go in and out so fast it doesn't really matter. I brought this amazing sparkly black dress and it looks a million bucks. It'll prob stretch out of shape after a few more wears but I got my money's worth.

Approximate cost: $20

This is my fave bookshop in the city because it's got a great range but isn't as busy and loud as Borders. The only problem is the constant offers of assistance from the staff, once I was asked if I needed any help 5 times! I think that's a bit excessive but on the other hand I guess it's better than Myer where you practically have to go on a safari to find a sales assistant.

I love this place, it's open all the time! I've come by at 11pm and still been able to buy a book. Great range of titles, everything from trashy books to high lit and a whole bunch in between.
