I went here for lunch yesterday with a friend. They now have a yum cha menu that you can order from, a Chinese menu and an Australian food menu. I ordered the prawn dumplings from the yum cha menu, the Beef and Black Bean Sauce and a large fried rice to share. My friend had the spring rolls and Poons combination. The both enjoyed our meals, the service was fantastic and the meals came out quickly. The total cost of the meal was $46, we also ordered prawn crackers and two soft drinks. Great value. Will definitely be going back again.

I have been here four times in the past year, 3 times to the wine room and once, last night to the Beer Hall. The Wine room at night has a lovely atmosphere, great place to catch up with some girlfriends or someone special over wine and some delicious food. The menu does change, last year I went there for a birthday dinner and my partner had a divine seafood pasta and when we went back there a couple of months ago it was off the menu, the gnocchi beef ragu was full of flavour but not quite what he was expecting, the portion was quite small but filling. I have tried several different kind of pizza's and they have all been good, my favourite is the chorizo with caramelised onion. Generally I have been really happy with the service but last night was a different story and promoted me to write this review. I met some girlfriends in the Beer Hall. Not normally a beer drinker I asked the barman what would be a good beer to start with as the selection was a little overwhelming and nothing looked familiar to me. He was no help at all and said they were all good. I asked about the special light ale and the chalkboard, there was no price next to it, and he said that it wasn't the best beer but ok. Feeling exasperated I ended up just getting two pints of that for my friend and I. We were shocked when he said it was $25 for both!! Later I tried another type of beer and accidently spilt my glass, it was a long one, my friend had chosen not to drink out of her glass but keep hers in the bottle as her glass had lip gloss on it. The bar tender looked quite annoyed when he mopped it up. Sorry, I wasn't drunk, just clumsy. When my friend went to get another drink and said we didn't need any glasses to the girl behind the bar, he pointedly came over and said 'is that so you wont spill your drink' and she said 'no, because my last glass had lip gloss on it' Honestly, it all sounds so petty now but at the time it was just annoying. The Beer Hall is also pretty noisy so you find yourself shouting to be heard. I did have the chorizo pizza again which was really good and at $18 not a bad price considering. My friend ordered the banana split for dessert ($12) and we were disappointed to see it presented in an ice-cream sundae glass so everything was squished together, the raspberry coulis also tasted like raspberry topping. I definitely wont be going back to the Beer Hall. The wine room however will probably see a return visit.

This Easter was the second year in a row that we have stayed in this caravan park, we camp in a powered site with another family and are able to get two sites next to each other. Our four children have a great time riding around the caravan park and playing in the playground. There is also a swimming pool that is a little chilly if it's not a hot day. There are quite a few cabins available, and there are quite a few unpowered sites as well. The facilities are always clean and the staff are polite and friendly. The location is great as it's close to everything. We usually attend the Easter festival in town so it is very convenient. We will definitely be back again.

We were staying in the caravan park just accross the road from this pub over the Easter weekend. We rang before hand and it was recommended that we made a booking, we had a party of 4 adults and 4 children. The kids immediately made a bee line for the outdoor playground and stayed there for most of the evening. The pub has seating inside and outside in the courtyard, close to the playground. There is a lunch and dinner menu, a bar menu and a kids menu. They also have a Hot Rock which I'd never heard of and wasn't game to try. I had the lasagne which was a little dry, others had the soup, salt and pepper calamari and the chorizo and prawn pasta which they enjoyed. One of my friends had the porterhouse steak which he said was like eating rubber and wasn't enjoyable. There was something for everyone though and we will be back next time we are in town. They also have a function room which would be handy for a family gathering or birthday party.

This pub was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Bendigo. Our party of 6 adults and 4 children arrived without a booking and were accomodated without any problems on Easter Sunday. The interior of the pub is decorated with old photos and antiques of Bendigo adding to the character of the place. There is a spacious courtyard outside, we were seated inside and where we were sitting did not feel too crowded at all. There is a bar menu, a bistro menu and a kids menu. The specials are reasonably priced and there were also some mouthwatering desserts, which if we ever go back there I will try. The staff were very friendly and came to the table at regular intervals to see if everything was ok. I had a chicken parma with chips and salad, it was one of the best parma's I've had, the meat was so tender and melted in my mouth. Everyone was happy with their meal.

We found this place when we were looking for a quick meal before going to a concert at Rod Laver. We had the prawn spring rolls for entree and for main we had salted squid, chicken with cashew nuts and steamed rice. The food was fantastic, couldn't fault it. We were also delighted that it was a licensed restaurant and could indulge in some pre-show drinks. I was especially happy that one of my favourite wines, Nobilo was on the list. The service was great and the meals came out quickly. Highly recommend.

We went there recently for a birthday. Very family friendly with high chairs availiable and a kids menu. My boys also loved that it was right next to the train line and they could look out the window at the trains going past. The dining area is huge, a great place for a big gathering. The meals are enourmous, in fact, most of us could not finish all of them I ordered the seafood platter for one, and two people could have easily shared it. I could only eat half of it. I had taken a birthday cake for the birthday boy and the staff obiiged by storing it in the kitchen and bringing it out with candles lit after dinner. The front bar is huge too, a good place to meet friends for a drink and the beer garden out the back looked inviting as well. We will definately be going back.

I have been to this cafe many times over the years, usually catching up with girlfriends over brunch. The service is always outstanding and the food never disappoints. I went there for Sunday brunch recently and chose gluttony from the menu. It was sooo good. Poached Eggs, Bacon, mushroom, tomato and caremalised onion on toast. My friend had the beer battered fried Haloumi and she said it was fantastic. There is seating out the front, inside and a courtyard outside. Staff are very friendly, didn't have to wait long for our order to be takent and the meals came out quickly. Highly recommend.

We go to this cafe whenever we are in Torquay after a walk on the beach or a play in the park. There is a fantastic outdoor area for the kids with a playground and a cubbyhouse. The last time we went there were patio blinds up so we could sit outside out of the wind and still watch the kids while drinking our coffee. Our boys like the smartie cookies and the babychinos. We like the lattes and the egg and bacon breakfasts. The staff are friendly, sometimes there can be a bit of a wait for food as it is quite popular but they will let you know how long you will need to wait for.

This is the best butcher shop in the area. The quality of the meat is always consistently good. There is little fat on the meat, it's cut into good portions and the price is reasonable. My boys love the thin sausages and won't eat any other. We also like the hamburgers, steaks and mince. The staff are friendly and I've never had to wait long to be served.
