We have used Ferntree Gully Veterinary Hospital with 2 of our dogs since moving to the hills 8 years ago. They have always been very thorough and are really friendly and helpful, with everything from allergies to cruciate ligament operations and recovery plans. Always a park right out the front and a treat for an anxious pup.
We have used Coral at Knox Taxation for a number of years after being recommended by a friend. Coral is very easygoing and friendly, she explains everything clearly and takes time to talk financial issues through. Our tax has involved rental property, sole trader/small business and personal tax and she has been fabulous with all of it.
Lisa clips my labradoodle Charlie really well and leaves him looking better than anywhere else I take him. She is also cheaper than others I have been to. I have to remember to book a fair way in advance because she is pretty busy, but that's OK. She also sells pet food and other supplies such as toys and harnesses. Lisa is always happy to help out and give advice on products when she can.
I'd always prefer to see a film here than at my other 'local' cinemas such as Village Knox. The Cameo Card membership is a bargain, and the audiences generally seem more serious about films than in major cinemas where you get loud-talkers. They seem to be always improving the place too - a new bar and now they serve real coffee :)
Approximate cost: $11.50-$16.50
Went it to get some marrow bones for my dog which are normally $2-$3 each and came aways with a free bag of ribs as he had run out of bones. Very nice of him.
Russell the owner is always friendly and goes the extra mile. We get both our cars serviced here regularly and have no complaints.
My husband has a severe food allergy and the staff daughter, mum and nonna) were extremely helpful, preparing him an individual meal with no prior notice. The decor is a little kitch but combined with the authentic Italian family it adds to the whole experience (complete with a real Fiat in the rear of the restaurant). Food was yummy and quick to arrive.
Approximate cost: $22
I always take my dog Charlie to Wellington Park (if i can get in) as he comes home happy and tired. He also seems happy to arrive there each time which i think is a pretty good sign he likes it.
I love this little cafe. The eggs florentine are always amazing and the coffee is great. They often welcome my puppy with a bowl of water :) Very reasonably priced too.
Approximate cost: $12-15
I have come here quite a few times. The staff are always friendly, the food is yummy and they serve coffee in bowls! :)
