I love this place. It was the first time I had done any yoga, & I went straight for the hard stuff - bikram. But I loved it. Very taxing on the body, but I always feel great afterwards. Warning though, this is addictive. Milly & her staff really know their stuff & are very helpful.

My very first time trying yoga so I joined the Simply Flow class.
I found the instructor to be very helpful & encouraging.
He took me aside before the class & went over some of the common positions so that I wouldn't be completely lost & also spent some time time chatting with me after the class had finished. A few weeks later I brought a friend along for her first class & she felt very welcomed also, we both felt great upon leaving the class
It's $20 for a 2 week trial of unlimited classes & after that buying in bulk is the the way to go. Also I received a discount after showing my student ID

Really nice yoga studio. The Bikram room is enormous, but the power vinyasa room is smaller and more intimate. A nice selection of teachers and good space (layout, decor etc). Quite good prices for bulk purchased.

I loved the Bikram Yoga experience and went twice using my 7 day introductory offer for $20. I felt amazing afterwards and plan on going again in the new year. I expected Bikram Yoga to be expensive to continue after the offer, however the offer was value for money.

I LOVE Yoga Tree. After many years of doing yoga and living all around Australia and the world I have finally found my favourite yoga classes at Yoga Tree! They are the very best. Yes many people do attend the class but you have to remember that you only need the space on your mat to practice yoga... yoga is about your own practice so I dont have an issue with how many people practice around me... I love the energy in the room and I love the heat.

Approximate cost: $20 a class

The room is dark and gloomy and everyone is packed in like sardines. The staff are not very welcoming, they seem to relate to you as a nuisance not a potential member who is eager to do yoga on a weekly basis.

Approximate cost: $20

hmm, just a bit doubtful about anyone who has a genuine complaint but chooses 'anonymous'. Thanks but I think I will still try out based on the other more honest responses .

Intimate studio, lovely warm staff and decor isn't like a spaceship! I like my yoga studios to look like a yoga studio. You get to choose between two styles of yoga too. Mili the owner is really great: down to earth chick with an inspiring backbend! I thoroughly recommend this studio to beginners and advanced practitioners.

Terrible! the staff were rude and unhelpful, when I went upstairs to the yoga room it was way too hot (i was not doing the heated bikram yoga either) and overcrowded, I ended up just leaving.. the worst yoga experience I have ever had

Judging by the below reviews, it sounds like your experience is the exception, not the rule. It might pay to give this studio another shot, at a time slot that's not so populated. Personally, I found the heat very confronting my first class but it really does make the practice safer and you stretch further because of it. And you get used to it after a few goes-you may even get addicted to it as most do.

As far as crowded classes go (a common complaint across all the crowded-a.k.a the best- studios in Melbourne) all you really need is the space on your mat to do yoga. And the more people, the better the group dynamic in the class. Plus everyone whinges about crowded studios without realising that its these classes that help the studios stay open, afford refurbs/carpet cleaning, allow yoga teachers to make a living etc.

As for the rude staff member, ring up and ask for Milli the owner and go do her class and talk to her about your feedback. She would truly welcome it as I know she really cares about her studio, teachers and students. She started as a yoga buddy and now I we are friends so I know what I'm recommending here.

I've been going to Yoga Tree for the past 8 months. I started going to Bikram yoga to help with stress and sleep patterns. After a couple of weeks I was hooked and found it helped me relax and toned me up very quickly! I have never been a flexible person but bikram has certainly helped to change that.

My only criticism is that on the really busy classes (7 pm, Saturday and Sunday afternoon classes) the room can be too full and not enough oxygen flow.

It was extremely hard the first time but all the instructors are very welcoming and helpful and you go at your own pace there is no judgment. At times there are a lot of people but then again how else a new person can join in, you just have to come early to get a spot. I love going there.

Approximate cost: $18
