I just went to the Caversham wildlife park in Whiteman's park wanted to go for ages
a bus takes you right to the information desk
Or if you get of near the gate there is a buzzer and a shuttle bus will pick you up if you are not driving
If driving I would recommend getting there at 9 am there is so much to do there I didn't realise how big it was
I got there at about 10 and only went to the Caversham wildlife park that was mainly what I was going for
It's about 27 adults and 19 concessions its not cheap but if you like being up close to the animals feeding them etc then its worth going and there is the the few shows also throughout the day when you go you get a pamphlet that has a map of the place and times of the shows also which they go for about 30 minutes each
You can go into alot of the area up close and see the koalas chickens ducks bulls etc and ones you cant you can still see very close to the fence
They have heaps of animals to see like water buffalo alpaca's chickens ducks birds Tasmania devils kangaroo's dingos snakes turtles cow bull horse sheep dogs wombats bats etc
A couple of shows through out the day each going for about 30 mins starting at 10 am
1 has sheep shearing wip cracking sheep rounding up and milking a cow and you can give it a go if you want
The other is the bring out a range of birds lizards and the huge wombat and a snake you can have your picture taken with them
They have a gift shop there also
It was very busy lots,of school kids apparently popular excursion place
And on the other side there is apparently picnic area and machinery and pottery to look at
I didn't have the time to do everything
I did see kids slides etc its a fairly big place
Good to be able to see all the animals up close
Definitely take camera /video camera if going
