Waterways STT8 Semi-Automatic Water Softener water softener purchased in December 2015. The softener worked well for about three years, then water pressure began dropping in early 2019. The previous two water softeners installed had lasted over 20 years each, without the resin bed (the filter media) needing to be replaced. The water flow became so restricted that the shower could not be used.
At first the softener being the cause was ruled out due to its age. However, it was eventually identified as the cause, with the resin bed having failed. The resin bed was replaced at a cost of $240 for the resin and gravel, plus one hour of the plumber's time (just over $300). The softener is now working well again. The advice from Waterways is that, for the resin bed to last a similar length of time to those of the predecessor water softeners, a carbon filter must be installed in the water line before the water softener.
A request was made to Waterways to fix the problem under warranty, which was initially refused. After issuing a letter of demand, a substantial email trail and numerous phone calls, Waterways agreed to pay for the cost of the new filter media only.
Whilst I am happy with the water softener, the customer experience left a lot to be desired. I would not buy another Waterways water softener based on my experience.

They change my water filters annually. They are punctual, efficient and no crap involved. I have had some real issues with folk doing stuff around here but this crowd are exceptional.

Have a Waterways tap and filter and without any effort on my part to note when to change the filter, the company will call and arrange a suitable time for the service person to replace the filter. Never had any issues and so glad we went with waterways! Helpful, friendly, no fuss service. Love it!

I was given a Waterways above bench filter and it was due for a new filter. One simple phone call and the very helpful lady knew which filter I was describing and how much a new filter would cost me. She explained the other options too such as self installation. I love making decisions with all the facts first, this made it so easy. I booked in the service man, he arrived in the allotted time frame and was in and out very quickly, he was also very professional and friendly. If I'd know it would be so easy to change my water filter I would have called sooner. Definitely a good company to do business with :)

Had water filter change. It was done very efficiently and quickly. Workman arrived in time stipulated and was very friendly.

I had a Drinking Water System installed a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. They also have a very very very hot Plumber!!! Back to the review (momentarily sidetracked then remembering the Plumber). I heard the ads on the radio which prompted me to give them a call (I find Purataps ads to be so annoying). I was booked in for a Saturday morning. The Plumber showed up on time and was there for around 45 mins installing the system. And wow, my water is tasting so much better, what a difference! The ladies on the phone were lovely, with no high pressure sales tactics, unlike Puratap. Very happy with this service and I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family.

Had a waterways water filter here when I bought my house. Rang them for a service, the staff member on the phone was friendly and helpful. I arranged a 12pm-3pm visit time, however the day before I was rung to confirm a 9am-12pm visit, nothing was mentioned about a change but I said that was okay and changed around my plans for the day. The service staff member arrived at 930am, unfortunately it took him some time to find the house as the woman on the phone wrote down the wrong street number, despite confirming with it me on the phone initially and on the follow up call. The service staff member seemed a little annoyed about this and wasn't the most pleasant. I ended up paying $144 odd for the service, meanwhile I hear new Pura Taps on the radio from $119 installed so I fail to see how a service being more expensive than the product itself being good value! He was here for about 10 minutes only. Correct me if I am wrong.

We had a water purifier installed by this company. Great price for the product, much cheaper than the bigger companies. Was able to arrange installation at a time that suited me, staff were informative and helpful.
