We went there for lunch and the food was excellent, we had the cheap $10 meals in the sports bar but still good. The free bread rolls were nice too. I did however have to get the cutlery and salt& pepper myself

The food is nice, what you expect, they give good portions.

The service has been forgetful a couple of times, the last time I went, which was a few weeks ago, my sister and I ordered. My order came, but we were waiting a while for my sisters, it turned out that they had forgotten about her so she had to go back up and ask.

We've had several birthday parties here, a few general grown-up family dinner celebration ones as well as children's birthday parties.
The children were always happy with it, I think they found it nicer or more special than the typical mcdonalds type of parties. Making great use of the dance floor, playground and kangaroo mascot.

We've eaten here a few times and never been disappointed with the food.
I like my steaks medium-well and they've always cooked it perfectly. The fish has also been tasty and fresh.
It's one of those pubs where you go up to the counter and order your food, and the queues can get quite long at busy times, especially on Sat night. This can get annoying when all you want to do is order some ice cream for the kids after their meal, and have to wait in a line of 10 people all ordering their mains.
The playground is a bonus, as it keeps the kids busy while the adults eat. If you have older kids, or no kids, I'd suggest getting a table away from the playground as it can get a bit noisy.

Nothing fancy here, just good old fashioned pub and food! We've driven past this pub many times and thought we would give it a go since we where not feeling like anything fancy, just wanted a nice casual place with some hearty pub food! The Waltzing Matilda sure gave us that. Food wise I thought was a little dearer than most, especially for the quality of food, which I found to be a little soggy, most probably from waiting for my partners dish to be ready though taste wise was excellent and just what we needed! Great menu and like the selection of parmas on offer.
