Good service to find a bargain. Let them know what item you need and then try to find a price cheaper than the info you gave from the store price you found (much like a price comparison site). If cheaper you can go off and buy from their suggestion or use that price to price match in local store.
A handy little service to grab yourself a bargain. Always saved myself atleast 5% per purchase, which definitely adds up.
What the union shopper does is get you to go to a retail shop (such as a whitegood supplier) and use the expertise of their sales staff to help you choose the item you are after. Then you ring the shopper with the model number and they try to find you one cheaper. So in effect the shopper is using other shops staff and experience without paying for it. They should be banned as they cause the prices to be higher in retail shops to cover the loss of sales staff productivity.

Markets are competitive these days, no reason to give this service a bad review.

If you are a union member you are eligible for services from Union Shopper. We have often used this for major purchases in situations where you can do your research and specify a model that you want (eg digital cameras, fridges.) You call them up and tell them the model you want and the best price that you have seen, and somehow - I have no idea how - theu always seem to be able to source it for you hundreds of dollars cheaper
Do you go back to the shops where you do your 'research' and pay the staff there for helping you?
