I can’t recommend this salon enough! I took myself and my mum to get our hair done for my brother’s wedding. Not only did we leave the salon looking incredible, the staff were so accomodating, welcoming and kind. My mum left feeling her absolute best and her confidence had shot through the roof because of the fantastic work the stylists did on my mum’s hair, she loves it. I will definitely be coming back.

I have been a customer of Tumi for must be nearly 10 years. They are brilliant at their craft but what I love most about Tumi is the atmosphere. Both Renato and Louisa lead a very empowered and positive team. There is no obvious bitching or niggling at each other, which until visiting Tumi, I had struggled to find. It's a very warm and welcoming environment. When I first attended, my hair was a mess, bleached and in a really bad way. I'm now very proud of the health of my hair, and wont let anyone else touch it. Thanks team Tumi, love your work! xxx

I went to Tumi for the first time earlier this week and was looked after by Molly. It had been some time since i'd had my roots touched up, but i was more than happy with my hair at the end of the appointment. Molly did a fantastic job with the colour and really got to know what i wanted from my hairstyle before getting started. I'll definitely be going back again and would recommend to others.

I have a very special need with my hair requirements. This very special need began when my hair started to fall out in my twenties. For a time, various hairdressers were playing all sorts of havoc with my hair. Then one day I bumped into Frank. Who's Frank ? Frank used to live in my street when I was a kid and it was by Frank's word of mouth that I discovered this young hip hairdresser named Renato twenty years ago. It was Renato that worked it all out for me and worked his magic with my special hair need. What I can say is that Renato just gets it. He is the real deal. That's why he is the only person that has touched my hair over the last twenty years, with the exception of my very close Japanese friend who was studying hairdressing. She got to touch my hair twice in difficult times but then no more. I have followed Renato over his hairdressing journey from his days in Brunswick St when it was all happening, the coffee was great and I was financial. I see myself as having been a part of Renato's hairdressing journey and life journey. Renato is more than a mere hairdresser. He is a craftsman and a technician. I have seen and experienced first hand the passion and the vision that he has for his craft. I have watched the way that he has continually developed himself and his skills, not just in cutting but in all aspects of now running his own salons and transforming people. I have also seen Renato's development as a man and he is a very astute man having turned TUMI Hairdressing into the happening place that is today. Renato just seems to connect with each of his clients. Having your hair cut at TUMI doesn't just give you the benefit of a great cut or style. It is also an enjoyable social experience to be savored. Yes the coffee is still good (though I am no longer financial), and Renato is still the one who has the privilege with my hair. Having said that, TUMI is not just about Renato, it is about the TUMI team that he has developed over the years. They are all talented hairdressers in their own right who do cuts, color, highlights, perms, styles, you name it. In my case they are part of the bevy of beauties that have made me and served me delicious coffee and washed my hair over the years. So, if you care about your hair even a little bit, then these are the people you can come and talk to at TUMI Richmond about any requirement you may have no matter how big or small. They will understand your needs. I'm confident you will be very satisfied.
