Tokyo Teppanyaki, South Yarra

Could not speak more highly of this place. Have had teppanyaki in the likes of Crown before and i think Tokyo Teppanyaki was much better. Chef Willy definitely put on a great show for us with all his little tricks and great humour. The food was perfect each and every time. We caught egg omeletes and bowls full of rice! The only thing i would've liked was more time with the chef, it just felt like it was over really quickly. Would come back again.

The service is excellent. We have so much fun eith the chef, it is a great dining experience for any occassion

This is a night you won't easily forget. The chef will dazzle you with his skill as the food is cooked right in front of you! Their speed and efficiency is amazing and I couldn't help but stare! The food tastes great and you will laugh and laugh. I couldn't even finish all the courses. It might be expensive but it's something you just have to do at least once for a completely diferent dining experience

Very entertaining night and very fun. We took our grandma here to celebrate her birthday. The chef was very funny. As it was grandma's birthday they got her to dress up in a kimono and took a photo of her and framed it. They also gave her a mini cake to cut and sung happy birthday to her.

Bookings are a must. Great fun in a big group!

The chef we had was very entertaining and talented. I cannot believe how he can throw the food into my mouth at such a distance! I think it is a great place to go with family and friends for a special occasion. I prefer this one than their Collins Street restaurant.

The food here is delicious and the experience is a lot of fun. My family really love it here but it is very expensive to go as a family. They charge for every bowl of rice you have and for every extra. It's an expensive night out but nice for a special occasion.

Went here for my hens night. Had never been to teppanyaki before, but they wre fabulous. The chef was so entertaining and as a group we had a great time. Not sure that it would be as good as just a coulpe though

Having had been to several Teppanyaki restaurants I was very impressed by the quality of the food. Typically I find Teppanyaki restaurants are a fun night out however the food can be average, Tokyo Teppanyaki has by far the best tasting food.

A group of 10 took off for a fun night, celebrating a birthday. Good fun was had by all. I think that's what this place is pretty much about - fun and food flinging.

I wasn't in love with the food. Thought it was good and fresh, but not as flavoursome as I had expected.

Would go again, especially with a group.

The food and the overall entertainment was excellent! I was impressed with the food having been to several Teppanyaki restaurants and generally working away happy with the entertainment but disappointed with the food. A little pricy but worth it for a one off night out.
