The coffee is nice and creamy. I asked for soy mocha and was charged extra 50 cents for soy milk. The chai banana latte was different and very yummy.

New owners have softened the decor and it looks more like a country food store. has pretty floral tableclothes. The raspberry and white chocolate muffin, I'm still dreaming about. Coffee was a bit bitter for my liking

Approximate cost: $10-$20

Being a coffee lover I am always on the lookout for great coffee. I had heard about Toby's Estate coffee but never had the chance to try it so I went on the search to find it. I was glad to hear that there was a Toby's Estate cafe in Brunswick. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was not disappointed.

I ordered a soy flat white and a berry muffin. The coffee was creamy and delicious and the muffin not only looked yummy but was very tasty. The gentleman that served me was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going back again.

Approximate cost: $3.50

Went to buy coffee beans and have a quick coffee. Was shocked to find the freshest (roasted) beans they had were more than 3 weeks old. I declined to buy them. I was then even more shocked when the waiter told me that beans were "best" between 18 and 29 days after roasting - quite a brazen lie if anything that anyone has ever told me about coffee is to be believed. I informed that waiter that in my personal experience beans start to lose their flavour and ability to make a "crema" after 10 days, whereupon he told me that if I thought I knew more than the baristas at Toby's Estate I was kidding myself. Unbelievable rudeness and deliberate misinformation from the waitstaff just to make a $10 sale has meant Toby's Estate has no chance of seeing my business ever again. Retrain fools like these, Toby's! And give your customers some credit for knowing something about beans. This is Melbourne, after all.
