First shop to get the new knit pro cables, moonah is now my destination shop for all my yarnie needs.
Love the new vibe in the shop. It was always lovely but the scrumptious Lizzie is already taking it to the next level.
I have started attending the new Wednesday knit nights and will definitely be a regular.

The best wool shop I've ever had the pleasure. The stock in the shop is wonderful, the best range you would ever see. The shop owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. To a knitter, a visit to the shop is as good as a day out.

Approximate cost: $16

Always helpful whether you make a large or small purchase, or just need information. They will hold that extra skein for you, just in case.

I have shopped for wool in this shop before and I never go anywhere else to buy wool. The ladies in their know their product and that in itself is amazing. They are friendly and helpful; they won't let you leave unless you are 100% satisfied with your purchase; that the wool is comparable to the one in some foreign magazine or knitting book you have picked up at the library! I have total confidence that the size of the needles and the ply of the wool that they have advised will give me the tension I need to make a beautiful garment. I recommend The Wool Shop at every opportunity. The service is exceptional and the variety of the wool that is kept in stock is amazing.
Why would I buy wool anywhere else when I can go home and start on my next project completely happy and confident that The Wool Shop has "supervised and advised" my purchase and I will be proud of the finished garment.

Excellent. I have dealt with this business, online, in person and over the phone. Incredibly kind and compassionate. Very respectful of me as a novice knitter. Knitting is very important for my elderly mother (who has dementia) and the staff understand and appreciate that.

The staff are compassionate enough to never talk down to me (a beginner with inadequate knowing) about the products I want, or could, to use.
The staff demonstrate huge kindness and sensitivity to one by making recommendations tailored to the appropriate level of complexity-simplicity for their customers.
The knowledge of the staff for their products is absolutely IMMENSE!!!!!!
The staff are encouraging about the "progress" made by one of their customers...thank you Maree and Maureen.

I went in there recently to buy a crochet hook and was impressed with the pleasant service and even more impressed that their price was cheaper than the big hand craft store in town! Well worth a visit.

I enjoyed my visit to the wool shop - a great range of interesting yarns. A very good shop to visit if you're after something specific. The staff were friendly and helpful - they were assisting customers with ensuring they had the correct wool for their pattern etc. A little pricey, but a good shop for that special wool purchase.

Approximate cost: $12 per ball

This store appears small from outside, but is much larger when you enter. The range is superb - after not finding the color and type of yarn I wanted at Spotlight, and discovering Hobart's only other wool store had only a limited, specialised and very expensive range to choose from, I was feeling very disheartened.
The moment I walked into this store, the only problem suddenly became too much choice!
Both of the staff members were friendly, helpful and patient, and had an obvious interest in their merchandise and their customers.
The prices were great - ball for ball, cheaper than the equivalent wool at Spotlight.
They also have an online store, or you can order online and collect from the store. I see they also run classes, although I haven't explored this.
We are so lucky to have this wonderful shop catering to all our knitting needs!
