I'll start off saying the drinks are overpriced but I must add this can be overlooked as you're in the heart of the city yet somehow you're in a fine establishment. Consistently good gigs here and afterwards it's a pretty fun atmosphere on the dance floor.

alright, very nice atmosphere, liked how there were different levels (though it gets a bit confusing which is which on your first visit) but at night i liked how the candles made it look very fairytalelike

I really enjoy this venue - particularly Saturday nights at The House De Frost where Andee Frost djs and plays a wide range of house and disco. The crowd is always quite eclectic and the night is very gay friendly. Drinks are pricey and it can get hot in there but it's all worth it!

Fantastic little resturaunt with good wine and great asian tapas style food. The spicy prawns were delicious and fresh and the warm olives were great. I really enjoyed the resturaunt booths which are old style train carriages.

The decor and dining areas here are so nice.
The wine menu isn't extensive - but has something for everyone. I ordered a bloody Mary and wow it was nice.
While the food was spicier than I had expected - it was still very tasty and fresh.

Approximate cost: $mid range

Have been here for drinks and a tapas style dinner. The fish cakes are great. Service was ok but could be a little faster. Book in advance for a table in the restaurant section, otherwise you get stuck on the bar side.

I went here with a small group of my friends for dinner on a Thursday night. We arrived early and had a few drinks at the bar. They have a small but well balanced wine list and the bar staff were quick and friendly. When it came time to be seated we were lead to a little booth with sliding doors reminiscent of confessional booth, but bigger. It was very cozy (in a good way) and the waiter was funny and proffesional remembering our order correctly and making us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. Small servings, but they describe themselves as Thai Tapas, so this fits with that style of eating. And the price is a good indication of the size of the meals. All in all I had a great night. I will definitely be going back again.

Approximate cost: $12

i haven't had dinner here yet, but i would love to try having a meal with the sliding doors - that heightened privacy i haven't had before in a restaurant!

I have been there for a CD launch and a couple of concerts and found the venue to be excellent. It is a good place to catch up with friends while listening to live music. The selection of bands they put on the program is always good, and it's worth supporting local musicians. Thumbs up for this one.

The Toff has a number of different rooms to cater to different tastes. It's a great and varied venue, that runs movie nights, live musical acts and even just some rooms for good old fashioned drinking with your mates.
