My Lenovo Idea Pad Slim 3 lost audio. I tried the usual "fixes" recommended by Lenovo Help. Nothing worked for me. I had used PC Doctor for a problem with my old laptop so I hoped they could help me again. I was not disappointed. Edward arrived and after ascertaining what the problem was, he was able to fix the problem. The problem was a compatability issue between Lenovo, Windows and Norton. I highly recommend PC Doctor if you need any help to resolve tech issues. The help desk is courteous and their technicians are polite and courteous and are able to explain issue to people who are not very computer literate.

I would avoid if I were you. The $99 fee quickly turned into $250. And when they found out I might claim it on insurance they wanted to charge me more again. In the end they couldn’t provide a quote to repair my laptop, because they weren’t sure what was wrong with it. They were hard to contact, not very helpful when I could talk to them. Was a great waste of time and money. Suggest you go somewhere local.

We understand that you were unhappy with the $99 fee that quickly turned into $250. We would like to clarify that this fee is for our diagnostic services, which includes a thorough inspection of your laptop and a report on the findings. This fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time and resources that our technicians use to diagnose your laptop. The extra fee of $125 is for us to aggregate all the information for the insurance company then produce a report for the insurance company and also liaise with them should they need any further information. In order for us to deliver quality work, we have to charge for this as much time goes into the reports for insurance companies. We get a lot of requests to take shortcuts or produce reports without doing a full diagnosis this is not ethical and I am sorry but you can find plenty of other companies that will do this, unfortunately we only do things by the book.

We would also like to clarify that we do not charge more for customers who are planning to claim insurance. We offer a flat rate for all repairs, regardless of whether or not the customer is planning to claim on insurance.

We are sorry that we were unable to provide you with a quote to repair your laptop. This is because we were unable to determine the cause of the problem without further testing. We would have been happy to provide you with a quote for the repair once we had completed the testing.

We apologize that we were hard to contact and not very helpful when you were able to talk to us. We are always available to answer our customers' questions and help them with their repairs. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We would like to assure you that we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we will use your feedback to do so.

We would like to offer you a 10% discount on your next repair at our store. We hope that you will give us another chance to earn your business.

I would recommend the Original PC Doctor to anyone who feels helpless about resolving a problem with their computer and doesn't want to lug it down the street to a company which may take a week or more to resolve the problem. The O.PC Doctor spent a couple of hours investigating and then addressing the fault and then helped clear up a number of other questions I had as to why the computer behaved in a particular way that hampered its efficiency.

My Toshiba Satellite Laptop was running slower and slower. Recently, I needed to access Word to review my Christmas Card List and Word would not open. I tried to fix myself, but nothing worked. I'd used PC Doctor in the past, so I called and Kathy arranged for Jay to come over and check out the problem. Jay very patiently listened to my non-technical explanation of the problem, and when he looked at the laptop he could see that the hard disk needed replacing. Jay needed to take the laptop in order to migrate my data on to the new hard disk. Extremely happy with the result. The laptop is as good as new. Thank you PC Doctor.

I had a problem with my speaker and cooling fan on my laptop which they promptly repaired but problem recurred in 4 month when laptop under heavy load. When I brought it back in they said they couldn’t find the problem. Now that it problematic at low load, another repair shop confirms speakers are damaged again. I did speak with the helpline but they do not wish to take responsibility since they said it’s past 1 year. If they found the problem in that 1st 4 months i wouldn’t need to be paying for the same problem twice over

After one year I get a reply. Honestly this has just brought up bad memories. They had my laptop for a week (ie 5 business days) and when I called it sounded as if they haven't even had a look at it. After a few hours they diagnosed it as perfectly fine and told me I could collect it. A week spent with no computer access and ongoing issues. I am not sure how we can resolve any misunderstanding at this stage.

My internet stopped working during a storm and after waiting several days to have the modem replaced, I was told it was a hardware problem. I contacted PC Doctor, who was able to send someone the same day. I was very impressed with the technician Andre - he quickly restored the internet plus helped me to set up my WI-Fi again, making sure my devices were all working before he left. I am very happy with the prompt service and the end result.
