My name is Dee Davies. I started the original Clear Skin Clinic 11 years ago. The Clear Skin Clinic is situated in Transvaal Ave Double Bay. I have successfully owned several beauty salons and clinics before settling in Double Bay. The successful reputation of the clinic speaks for itself. We are well known for dealing and treating mild to severe acne.

I originally opened CSC as I was driven to reach a generation of teenagers that have difficulty understanding, coping and clearing acne on all levels. To my surprise, we have attracted all walks of life. Young acne, mature acne and generally all skin conditions. Our success lies with the fact we are extremely passionate about our work, treat every individual case seriously, spending limitless time explaining treatments, going over protocols to follow up with at home and stressing to our clients that nothing is a problem for us. For the past 20 years I have made acne my number one treatment at CSC. For all of those years I have looked closely as to what I personally believe exacerbates acne and what treatment regimes work. I am able to pin point certain reasons why acne is growing. Apart from normal teenage acne that can be irritated by make-up, harsh skin care products, hygiene and hormonal issues, I feel the surge in acne is due to the over saturation in our stores of skin care products. I am a great believer in products that have an emollient (water) base. I witness this problem over and over again; water base products verse oil base, such as found in foundations, cleansers, moisturizers, even scrubs should bare responsibility for giving certain people acne. I have proven this point 100's of times over the years. As soon as non-emollient products are removed from the client's skin care diet, as I call it, within a week their skin starts to automatically clear. It is not as easy as just taking away products, but also cleaning out all the blocked pores, applying the correct treatments and following that up with strict care at home and regular steam and squeezes.

Our philsophy at the clinic is to introduce and recommend products that do not contain Mineral oil, Lanolin, SD Alcohol and Formaldehyde. Also contaminated free containers and products that are never tested on animals.
