Synergy Elwood is by far the best salon I have been to in many many years. The expertise of the staff in cutting, colouring, blow waves, up-styles etc is just fantastic. I have been going there for 3 years now and they have never dissapointed. Staff are professional, the salon is lovely and comfortable. I am in there about twice a week for a blow wave and I would not have any other salon cut or colour my hair. I also really like that they can do "beautiful hair" and funky edgy stuff too. I can't wait to see what we are going to do for Spring Carnival hair do's. They really collaborate with you and deliver you the very best. I am still extremely happy three years later. I have taken friends and family here and they have all felt the same. I would not go anywhere else that's for sure.

I just had my best haircut ever by Tory at Synergy. Tory was amazing, I showed her a photo and she immediately said "Yep, lovely, I can do that". Her confidence was amazing. I sat there wondering if she really could do it. After an hour she showed me the back and I was thrilled. She has an amazing flare for cutting. Well done and thanks Tory. Cheers Judy

I wanted a complete change from my dark long tied back unglamorous hair to a fresher lighter shorter style. I looked online for a local Elwood hairdresser and Synergy stood out.

So I went to my appointment nervously, although I had a consult with Christy the week before. She said she could do a similar look to my pictures and add in caramel foils away from my hairline so I wouldn't be in the salon too frequently, which I was concerned about.

So I was shampooed, coloured, cut and blowaved for the next three hours or so. In the end I became so bold I asked Christy to go shorter, which she did up to the nape of my neck and longer around my chin - and I suspect she had a late lunch (sorry!). I appreciated she went the extra mile. I remember Alyx and I think Amber checking in on me too, and the lovely zen garden while I was at the sink upstairs.

I left the salon feeling fresh, light and with a spring in my step. A few days later I met a nice man. And received 2 credit vouchers that week for both being a new customer and my birthday. So I am a very happy customer looking forward to her next visit!

After looking for a new hairdresser in my area and reading reviews on womo I decided to try out Synergy. I was very pleased with my cut by Tori. She was meticulous in cutting my hair. I will definitely be going back .

I've been going to Synergy for 4 years now after a friend recommended them and I love everything about it! They are friendly so knowledgable and really understand how to bring out the best in your hair. All my closest friends go there too and love it just as much as I do.

My sister went here for her hair cut. The ladie did not listen to what my sister wanted and rather did her own thing. But her own thing was amazing. :)

As I just ticked all the stars at 'five' my eyes met the "don’t exaggerate the facts" statement on the side of this site. So I have been over the 'stars' and I can honestly say that my experience today at Synergy was worth more stars then five.

This year I finally made the move down to Melbourne and after a long search I feel that I have finally found a salon that almost feels like home.With difficult curly hair... I have definitely had my fair share of pushy hairdressers, and while I was trying to decide on something a little different today I realised that it is the patience and caring nature that stands out when you visit Synergy. Alyx has the ability to listen to her customers and create a colour and style that will make you feel on top of the world ‘literally’. The beautiful Synergy staff behind her all share the very same core values. Thank you for the great cut today Christie!!

I'm a guy who has straight, thick hair and if not cut properly, looks terrible and shows chop marks, so it was after a good amount of time looking for an exceptional hairdresser, that excelled in cutting, that I found Alyx at Synergy. Now here is a hairdresser that has learn't her craft the right way with years as a an apprentice to skilled hairdressers. No "push'em through a college in 12 month" hairdressers here.

I travel from Western Victoria to Elwood every couple of months to be spoiled by the excellent service at Synergy and I'm always extremely satisfied with the cut and attention to detail by Alyx.

Synergy and it's staff have a relaxed feel as soon as you arrive and I swear your blood pressure will drop as soon as you enter the salon.

If that doesn't work the great head massage or the massage chairs when you are having your hair washed and conditioned will do the trick.

Synergy Salon and Alyx-Great atmosphere, great hair and great coffee.

I love Alyx (both cut & colour), but she wasn't available so I went in for a hair cut with a male hairdresser (who I'm not allowed to name due to this being a negative review). After discussing what I wanted, he told me that he'd prefer to cut my hair dry. I agreed. He spent 15min cutting off a few ends here and there, did what amounted to a basic trim, and then charged me $90. I was absolutely shocked at that price, especially considering I didn't get a wash or blowdry. I was so upset by this that I haven't gone back.

I am new to the area and this was my first hairdresser to try. Well, i don't need to look elsewhere, Christie was fantastic. She was warm and welcoming and came up with a fantastic colour change for me. I went from blonde to caramel brown and it looks amazing. I am so happy with the service and the result. She has me coming back...for sure
