A good location for good quality sashimi takeaway. Great value for money and very fresh. Made to order.

This is the best place I've been to get sushi in Melbourne. I lived around the corner from it for 3 years and can't find anywhere quite the same. They make the sushi when you order it so it is just so fresh, and the mayo mix the put in the rice is delicious. Also unlike other sushi places Suzuran sushi is super filling. I always recommend it to anyone who says they like sushi and wish they would open up a new store near Clayton so I could go there weekly again. If you are anywhere near this little place get your lunch here, it is slightly more expensive than say SushiSushi but it is well worth the extra spend because of the freshness, flavour and quality.

Sushi fans unite! This is one of the places to get your sushi and sashimi! The serving sizes of the sushi pieces are jumbo sized as are the sizes of the sashimi and all at very reasonable prices. For about $12 you can get a combo called maki mix which provides you with four/five different types of maki rolls and that will definitely be enough for lunch! They also do larger platters to order depending on how many pieces you want. On offer are over 30 different types of sushi and sashimi styles. Quality is very good most of the time, however on occasion I have had the odd piece of tuna tasting a bit sour, so tend to avoid that one. Also great are the Gyoza from the frozen foods section - they're made in Australia and at around $7 for 12 pieces are great value for money!

Great little japanese supermarket doubles as sushi take away. The sushi are made to order and always fresh. Usually I would order the sushi and then go do my japanese groceries shopping at the same time. By the time I finished shopping, my sushi are all packed and ready to go. During summer they would put ice packs with the sushi to keep them fresh and not get spoilt by the heat in the car.

This is a great Japanese supermarket and sushi bar combined. The fresh sushi is very good value and the pieces are very large (and unsually so) for a sushi shop. The frozen goods are very authentic and supermarket has a wide range of japanese food.

Approximate cost: $11
