suwan thai would have to be one of the better thai restaurants in launceston. It has a friendly atmosphere and the restaurant is set out beautifully. They have a dine in menu or a take away menu. The take away menu is a lot cheaper than dining in but if you want to relax and have a great meal i recommend dining in. My favourite dish is Pad Preow Waan which you can have with stir fried beef pork or chicken. i Love it with beef with the sweet and sour thai sauce....yummo. The service can sometimes be good but it also can be bad. i have had both. The prices are decent with most main meals starting around $14

Wow..This place is amazing. I've eaten in a few Thai Restaurants but this would have to be one of the best. They serve an awesome Thai Chicken Curry with noodles...yummo. They have an extensive menu & even do kids meals like chicken nuggets & vegetables. Suwan even have a takeaway menu at reasonable prices.

I went here for the first time the other week and all i can say is wow why haven't I been here before!!! The food was amazing, the best thai in Launceston by far and the prices were fairly good. Even though I was full I kept eating my meal up because it tasted soo good! They also do takeaways too so that is handy and there is a variety of foods available, even a kids menu with chicken nuggets etc for the little ones :)

This is the best take away in launceston, always high qaulity ingredients and fast service food is very nice and price is fair.

This is my favourite Thai restaurant in Launceston. The meals are excellent, with the most aromatic and diverse flavours. and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The staff are always friendly, the service is good, and the restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. This restaurant is licensed as well as BYO (and there is a bottle shop next door if you want your favourite bottle of wine!)

The food is pretty good, although Suwan Thai in Hobart were a lot better.

The prices are fairly high, but this is still one of the best Thai restaurants in Launceston.

Food is great, service is very slow and they have rules about people not being allowed to go to the counter to buy drinks due to their lack of staff, so they insist on customers paying one bill per table. The drink service is so very slow that it is a great idea to go next door and buy your drinks from there. This restaurant used to be the best place in Launceston but the good staff appear to have moved on and now it's new staff night every night!! It can really ruin a great night.
