Had my hair done previously before lockdown and the Service was Fantastic. They took their time with a consultant and outcome was beautiful.

Tianna is amazing! She not only took her time to give me the best advice for my colour, she was so patient and really wanted me to walk away loving my hair. That I did! The cut was amazing and colour exactly what I needed. Great experience.

I feel i have to share my last experience with studio B.

I only get my hair coloured once a year for Summer and had waited all year to get my colour ready for Christmas. On 6th November 2019 I requested dark roots and ash ends and ended up with a warm brown colour all over??? My hair was very damaged, broken and dry after the colour which I is something I have never experienced before with salon colour in the past.

After paying $350 for a colour / technique I was not happy with I returned to the salon to give them an opportunity to fix my hair however I was only offered 3 conditioning treatments which were applied to my hair for me to wash out at home. Hoping this would fix my hair enough that I could get the colour I had first requested I was then told my hair is so damaged I would have to wait 8 weeks (next year) to lighten the colour.

I was very upset that my hair was brown for summer I asked for a refund and was rudely declined and advised if I wanted my hair lighter I would have to pay again... If I had known this would be such a stressful and disappointing ordeal I would of kept my hair as it was which was closer to the photo I used as inspiration.

I wish I could work out how to attach photos I have taken of my hair compaired to the photo I supplied the salon.

Approximate cost: $350

Had my hair done today and love it!! the hair stylist Nick done an amazing job with my hair. I had a few pictures of what I wanted done, he discussed a few options on how to achieve the look I was after while staying in my budget!
Would give them 6 stars if I could.

Approximate cost: $300

Thank you SO much for taking the time to review us. We have passed on your feedback to Nick, it has certainly made his day. Looking forward to many more years of taking good care of your hair. Love team SB xxx

I have been going to the salon for years. I have always been happy and, yet again, they've outdone themselves.
I visited in Saturday with the thoughts of having a silver/grey colour applied-I came out with most AMAZING copper tones.
I have been receiving complements ever since. Thankyou, all of you for your professionalism, friendship and advise.
LOVING MY NEW LOOK!

Terrible, experience! wouldnt recommend to anyone. My hair would have looked better from a hair dye you buy from Coles, not a hair colourist!

Wouldn't bother to give one star

Hi there Brooke Schofield,

Sorry to see that you have left a one star review for us.
Our team would have loved nothing more than for you to walk out of our salon with the exact colour that you desired.
Unfortunately as explained by two senior stylists- when you have dark Coles box dye in your hair, it is impossible to have achieved a light blonde colour in one visit.
We DID however offer a major colour correction which would have had the most effective lightening for you. As we explained on the day this would have been many many hours of work and at a significant cost of around $550. Due to your budget restraints you asked us to opt for a 1/2 head of foils. This in no way would have removed your old colour, merely adding a few highlights- which would be a more caramel colour due to colour build up. During your booking we tried to manage your expectations as to what we could achieve. Our team are under strict instructions to NOT push the boundaries and burn clients hair from over bleaching, it is a slow and steady process.
We also note this process on our website, send in a text and PM on Facebook during the booking communications. Here is the excerpt from our FAQ on our website:

"Colour build up is any type of colour that has been put in your hair at any stage. Unless the hair is 100% grown out, you will most likely have old colour left which affects the type of result that you would like to achieve now. In some instances we have found overlapping, banding, patchiness and colour near impossible to remove. Quite often we get asked from clients how they can achieve blonde? Once you have colour build up it can take a long time to remove especially from dark tones. Usually you will see red, copper, orange, brass and then blonde. In some instances it can take a year to completely achieve your goal colour, it all depends on how easily it is removed. We will usually know after the first colour correction session a basic timeline for you. Please note- anyone with dark or vivid colours will need to book for a colour correction service before we can do a regular colour makeover. This is effectively two bookings and we will need you for at least 5 hours."

We note that did ask for a refund to avoid posting negative reviews however we really do need to stand by our principals. If you feel there is any other way that we could have better communicated the process to you then please feel free to pass on this feedback and we will pass on to the stylist.

Thank you
Studio B

Booked in last week to get my hair lightened from dark brown to a lighter brown. I was advised not to lighten it and just get my roots re-coloured which I agreed to. After the first attempt of colouring my roots, the colour that the hairdresser chose was too light and highlighted my regrowth. She then re-coloured my roots for the second time and the colour still did not match. The hairdressers then tried to tell me it was my shampoo that I use and that I had "silicone build up" and that's why the colour was wrong.
They didn't charge me for the colour but I still had to pay $90 for a trim and blow dry only to get home and find out my hair cut was crooked! Really not happy especially since I travelled 2hrs to a salon that claimed they were colour specialists. I now have a yellow scalp and a crooked hair cut, and my roots weren't fixed.

Approximate cost: $90

Hello Anonymous,
Reading your review is very disappointing to hear as we have so much pride for our work. We have requested your details from WOMO to discuss this further as our store manager has no recollection of an appointment where this was the end result because you have not made contact with our store post booking. Usually our stylists would always offer a follow up appointment in the very rare instance that a colour would not take. Silicone build up is a very real issue as to why a colour may not process properly. Referring to your hair cut, we only ever allow a senior stylist to restyle hair- all our seniors have been minimum 7-10yrs qualified so this would be very unusual for them to do any cut that wasn't flattering. This situation certainly is very unlike our typical appointments and this feedback is definately a first for us as our name is built on reputation. We do offer guarentees on all our work however can only do so if you make contact with us. We would appreciate it if you could please give Brooke a call on 02 9523 7382 so that we can be given an opportunity to find out more about your experience. We only wish for all our clients to have a wonderful visit and leave feeling good. Unfortunately with the post being anonymous we have no other way to make contact with you and find out if you were a customer of our salon. Looking forward to speaking with you soon. Kind Regards Studio B

Trendy shop with modern decor, friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Great with my little one who is a wiggle worn and moves all the time, they had a lot of patience.

I got my hair blown out here prior to a job interview and it looks brilliant and lasted much longer then normal.

Woohoo! Thank so much Catherine, we hope you got the job! Thanks for your kind review.
