Great customer service at the front desk, room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. My partner and I loved the Buffet breakfast. We both recommend this place! Also walking distance from Chinatown is a huge bonus. The only down factor is no free Wi-Fi and the bath tub was discoloured, I will be going back there.

The rooms are great, the service is pretty good but be wary of the valet parking. They charge you $50 a day and it takes at least 20 minutes for them to retrieve your car if you require it. They have some decent restaurant deals for guests which we didn't use but they sound reasonable.

The Stamford is a wonderfully elegant and classy hotel. From the time we arrived we were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a 2 bedrrom apartment with 2 bathrooms and the furnishings and styling was opulent and comfortable. We were in the centre of Melbourne and close to everything too so being a tourist was easy and fun!

We stayed at the Stamford Plaza for a weekend getaway. We were very happy with the high quality of service throughout our stay, from valet parking right through to checkout.

The room was spacious and well decorated, it contained everything we needed including tea and coffee making, separate bedroom, living area and bathroom. Everything was clean and of high quality.

Buffet breakfast was included in our stay and was amazing! Very delicious!

I stayed at the Stamford about 2 years ago and absolutely loved my stay here. The room was very spacious, had its own kitchen and dining too. They were very nice to offer a free room upgrade for that trip! The staff were very friendly and always helped out whenever i had a question. It is a bit pricey but well worth the extra cost! Will definately stay at the Stamford again in the future.

The Stamford Plaza Hotel is my favourite hotel to book when I visit Melbourne, and hence I have stayed here many times. The Stamford is very luxurious, and the service is superior which is no surprise since it is a 5 Star hotel. The Stamford is in a great central location and close to all my favourite shops and restaurants in the Melbourne CBD. It can be expensive, but I try to look for specials and last minute deals. If you book this accommodation, you will not be disappointed after your stay.

We stayed here in October and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. We arrived early at about noon, but were able to check in immediately. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Our room was a recently updated 1 br King suite – spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. It was spotlessly clean and well presented.

Thoughtful touches such as dimmer switches (good for mood lighting and not getting blinded going to the bathroom in the middle of the night) and auto sensors so you didn't even have to search for the switch make the Stamford stand out. The kitchenette was well equipped (dishwasher, microwave etc) with cooking gear available if required. Ipod dock clock/radio, 2 TV's and spa make it easy to spend time relaxing in this home away from home.

Although it was next to the lifts, our room was very quiet. The lifts are glass walled which we thought were a bit of fun although some people didn't like the sensation.

Our only slightly negative experience was that the bed was a bit too firm for our preference. A pillow menu is offered, but we were happy with the ones supplied.

I would highly recommend this hotel and it will be our first choice in future.

I found that the hotel itself was quite dated, however the package we purchased really did exceed. We started with high tea on our arrival, served with some sparkling. Then went up to our rooms to find a bottle of moet, chocolates, balloons, a take home robe and gorgeous other little gifts. The room was nice and spacious with a little kitchette, a lounge sweet and a cute little balcony. We spent most of the day in the roof-top pool which was gorgeous. The breakfast we had the next morning was lacking in quality. Howver it was still suffice. Overall a good experience and I would go back there.
