Such a shame this little gem is hidden away in the back streets of Clifton Hill. TBH I only know of the coffee and home made sandwich treasure trove due to working in the street next to it. Thanks to Squirrel I have gained a life long love for home made pesto, chicken and home made mayo on Rye or a Baguette. My daughter laughingly accuses me that the year I worked one street away from Squirrel I worked solely to finance them. Oh well at least I was helping a small business!

My sister and I came here for brekkie quite a bit and never had any issues. No eftpos is no big deal!

Cash only is a bummer, but the service is great and the breakfast menu is a little more than standard, with big serves of scrambled eggs. Nice place for a breakfast with friends and kid friendly

Great place for coffee. Lunch doesn't have many options but it all tastes great.

The only improvement would be - get EFTPOS, cash only often prevents me from stopping in as I rarely have cash.

Lovely, tucked away local perfect for a coffee with friends or breakfast with the kids. Great collection of cakes - the m'hencha pastry delicious! Breakfast range good, with simple cereal ($3!) for the fussy ones and delicious bircher muesli or eggs for grown ups. Friendly service, but it is CASH ONLY

Quaint little cafe nestled amongst residential streets. always busy open early for breakfast and always a good spot to drop by for a cake and coffee.
