Sorrento's is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Perth. Traditional, old style family run business. The food is always fresh. The seafood is some of the best and cheapest in Perth (for the real deal not something cheap from overseas). Dinner is always a favourite here. It gets busy so expect to wait. But it all adds to the charm.

Had a group lunch here yesterday. Good service with an interesting old-style Italian restaurant ambiance. Pretty charming.

We had some entrees of bread and antipasto platters to share. Nothing unique, but satisfying all the same. For mains, our table had garlic prawns (main size - $36 but you had to add on a side of potatoes, etc if you want for another $7), gnocchi, goat, rack of lamb and all reported that it was delicious. Portions were generous.

Worth a visit.

What can I say, what makes a restaurant great consistency. I've been going to Sorento for eight years, Tuesady fresh muscle night cheapest in town by far, Sunday jazz night. I love their home made Lasagna with a bit of fresh chillies , Their chicken livers when its on the specials menu and tiramisu all made that lovely Italian lady in the back. They have been running for 60 odd years what restaurant in Perth can you say that about?? None. The waiters are always friendly and it doesn't matter where your from their is a waiter who can speak your language. The wine list has some decent wines for a change, they could improve their champagne list mind you. Ask Angela to make you a coffee she makes the best. Nights don't always go smooth and dealing with the public is very difficult after reading some of the revues people need to look at what's out there in Perth when it comes to restaurants and if you compare consistency with affordable dinning with a fun atmosphere where can have fun with the staff and enjoy a great meal you will find their is no comparison to Sorentos restaurant. Thumbs up to them and I'm from Canada where service is bliss so I know what I'm talking about...

Very nice small restaurant, service was lovely. Food was enjoyable and the price was reasonable but perhaps a tiny bit too much cracked pepper.
Would definitely come here again, the waitress was sweet and the male was very jolly and made the atmosphere so much more enjoyable. :)

Went here on a Friday night, the waiter was fantastic, great salesman. upon taking our drink orders we were left alone, and an argument erupted in the kitchen between the chefs and waiters. Not sure if that was what upset the night, but unfortunately I must say was expecting good things from here after reading the reviews. Sadly my veal scallopini was rather disappointing. A friend had the gnocchi and loved it, was very impressed with the quality and amount. Desserts were ok, coffee was terrible, tasted burnt and stale. Not a place I would be excited to go back too again, but like mentioned, there was an issue in the kitchen that night.

Visited Sorrento last week and had a great experience there. Have been going here for almost 5 years now. Probably one of the nicest, cheesiest pasta & pizzas ever.
Great location with nearby parking.
Service & ambience was warm and friendly.
Definitely worth visiting again.
Order the Calzone and Cabonara when you are there!
