I have been to many of Melbourne so called trendy salons, and all I get is the same old clone haircuts and colours. I went to suzies salon, referred by a friend, and this place is a real find. I have some many comments, and it's a salon back to when hairdressing was an art, not a gimmick! A true artisan!

after having my hair done by Suzie i have been stopped in the street and asked where I get my hair done. Suzie is an amazing stylist. and great with colour choice. i certaimly would not go elsewhere. I feel baeutiful. suizie also listen to what you want and will discuss what suits your face shape. you dont get thta personlised service anywhere.

A friend had recommended I go to Seclusion hair and beauty as it was so friendly and she always had amazing hair!
Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed in and offered a seat. The salon was beautiful and modern, and very tidy which is good to see.
I was the only one waiting while one other girl had her hair finished. It was nice to see it was a more private, personal setting rather than the hustle and bustle of most other hair salons. I was even offered a champagne and some nibbles whilst I waited in the massage chair.
Suzie did my hair and she worked wonders! I got a full head of foils, treatment, cut and blow wave done. For once I was actually happy with the outcome. I was unsure of what I really wanted and she seemed to figure it out!
Finally a hairdresser that knows how to communicate rather than use me as their crash test dummy.
I highly recommend Seclusion Hair and Beauty, you are spoilt with a great location, great company and most importantly great hair.

Bought & used a Stardeals Groupon voucher for "1-Hour Full-Body Relaxation Massage, Soothing Facial PLUS Indulgent Manicure" (quoted from voucher). Great price at $69 but very disappointed.

The massage was the highlight - the therapist found the tight muscle spots on my upper back and teased them away. However, in spite of being asked for very firm pressure, it was "firm relaxation" at best. On the plus side, the therapist managed to avoid the usual problems with loud footsteps by being barefoot, which was a great idea. The massage table was almost brand new but the face holder was very poorly masked, which means it won't look new for long! The towels used for the body were TINY and didn't provide sufficient modesty. At least they provided a wrap-around sheath in addition to the towels.

The "indulgent manicure" was an outright joke - very minimal shaping, single coat of polish (i.e. NO basecoat or topcoat). That's right, that was the entire "indulgent manicure". No cuticle trimming, no moisturiser, nothing. And there was red polish slopped on my cuticles. Had this done this morning and it is already chipped & flaking 12 hours later. The therapist was probably let down by the fact there was no strong light provided for her to work on my nails, but that still doesn't excuse the absence of a proper base or top coat for nail polish. At least they used OPI.

The facial was very average - the therapist did not tell me about the products being used and left what appeared to be exfoliation granules everywhere on my face & neck. I know because I applied an SPF cream just before leaving and found the residue!

Nowhere to put your clothes when undressing for the massage - no chair, no hanger, no table.

Reception consisted of a busy woman on the telephone (who barely looked up) and a grim-faced man who took my details and brusquely waved me towards my therapist. The room was also unheated and overall unwelcoming. When I left the room, there was NO-ONE in the reception area. I almost left the establishment without getting my advertised $20 voucher, and in fact only got ONE, not the advertised TWO vouchers (I neglected to check this).

While it was supposed to be great value, it was appalling advertising for what appeared to be a new sideline to the hair salon. I will NOT be returning.

First time I visited this salon - for a straightforward cut of long hair - I was very happy. However, at the next visit I left in tears after the worst hairdressing experience of my life. I had decided to go short and when expressed that I was not happy with the look of the initial new do, was told not to be rude. Things deteriorated from there. I now have to pay for a cut to repair the damage - though think my only option is just to let this disaster grow out - plus pay for someone to colour my hair, despite paying an all inclusive price which included this. NEVER GO TO THIS SALON!
