Installed a 4.5 KW system some minor delays getting it installed but installers did a remarkable job considering the roof layout, the inspector arrived before the cut off date and we were able to register at the higher feed in tarrif, alround very satisfactory

Approximate cost: $10000

Overall I'm happy with the end result but feel the install and follow up was drawn out, it took around 3 months to get going not including connection to the grid. Firstly the install took 2 days rather than the estimated half to 1 day. During that time the installers managed to break at least 70 roof tiles for which I supplied the replacements and I also spent about 2 hours on the roof helping them replace the broken tiles to get the roof closed up before the end of the day.

I was contacted approximately a month after by the installer to make a time for him to fit an isolation switch later that day so I left my back gate unlocked for a week for him to gain access but he didn't turn up. About another month later I was contacted by the installer's employer to organise another time to complete the job.

Once he had finished I assumed the system was up and running, I went to check the display and found it had an error on screen so I made another call to fix the problem which turned out to be a faulty inverter. Again a day was organised to fit a replacement inverter but no one turned up until a week later after several phone calls.

On top of all that I called their 1300 number to enquire about a display unit, I left a name and number waiting for a call back with a price and availability but didn't hear back that day so called back the next day to leave another message and still haven't heard back. In the mean time I found the product I was after online, ordered and received it 2 days later.

As you can see it hasn't quiet been a smooth process for me so i wouldn't recomend them at all.

Approximate cost: $6000.00

I am sorry Victork that you weren't completely satisfied with your purchase and installation experience with us. As a company we appreciate feed back as it only serves to make us better at what we do. I must however bring to the attention of readers of this post that there some things that you have failed to mention in your critique of our performance. We are an experienced and professional installation company, we have carried out a vast number of tiled roof installations and have of course over that range of installations experienced some tile breakage. I have queried at length our installation teams and their coments are all of a similar vain. If we are unlucky enough to experience tile breakage on a job, it usually amounts to one or two cracked tiles. As part of our installation process we always ask customers with tile roofs if they infact have spare tiles in the event of a breakage. Mostly customers do in fact have a small number of tiles available to enable us to make repairs in the event of breakage. In your instance however our installer commented that he thought it unusual that there was a pallett of spare tiles available. Even with the fitment of structual ply walk ways across the roof surface the tiles were simply popping underfoot. In fact my belief is that you youself climbed up onto the roof and broke a substantial number of tiles yourself. I suggest to you that the tile breakage was not in fact the fault of our procedures or work practise but a fault of the tiles themselves. As far as the time elapsed to complete the installation, it would be fair to say that replacing properly, seventy odd roof tiles around a solar panel array would be quite time consuming, as was in fact the process of unloading them from the work van at our factory and placing them in our rubbish skip. I also found quite disturbing the tone of the e-mail you forwarded to the office demanding an un specified amount of compensation from us. And if the compensation was not forthcoming your threat to post your disatisfaction on WOMO.. I reponded to your e-mail, but did not recieve a response. I feel I must comment that WOMO is set up to reward companies and individuals that provide good products and service to customers, and to post fair and legitimate complaints about bad service, products etc. I don't think it should be vehicle used to attempt to extort compensation for unsubstanciated claims.

Thank you for taking the time to personally respond to this issue. It is a pity we have to sort this out publicly rather than in private as I have not received any emails from you except for read receipts for all of my emails sent to you, I have even checked to see if they ended up in the spam/junk filter on the main server which they have not. Do you have any ‘read’ or ‘delivery’ receipts for these emails you claim you have sent?

As you mentioned there are a few thing that need to brought to the attention of the readers. In response to your claims, I was an owner builder so was able to keep the excess roof tiles after the tilers had finished their job hence the pallet of spare tiles. FYI, I did not break any roof tiles while helping your installers replace all of the broken tiles. I was informed and understood that a few tiles may have been broken during the process so prepared for that but my question to you is what would have happened if I only had a few spares? Judging by your response it becomes my problem and more or less leaves me out of pocket as I paid for the tiles used to repair the damage caused anyway.

Rest assured John I’ve decided to go against Consumer Affairs advice as I don’t think chasing this matter any further is worth the effort, I’ll let your customers decide.

We decided to have solar panels installed, quoted on Friday, installed the following Thursday, saving us money already. Could not be happier.

planned, quoted and installed our 4kw system in time for us to receive the feed in tariff - not bad considering we only gave them a few days to do it. Sales rep through to the installers and the follow up checks were top notch

They were quick to quote our new PV solar system and turn-around for installation after finalising quotation was about 1 week. Tradesman turned up on time, left the place clean and carried out a very tidy installation. Highly recommend to anyone condisdering installing a solar system.

We have had 3 solar systems put in by Power bill busters. 7.5kw, 5kw and 2kw systems. Dean our sales representative was amazing, informative, not pushy or rude! Our first system was commercial, on a piggery and the other 2 systems were on homes. Our aim is to decrease our power bills not override them..Electricity is going up and now we have solar in place, especially on the piggery our power bills are decreasing. Our houses have just been connected so I can't give you an honest update as yet..stay tuned!
