Playhouse Theatre, Hobart

I saw the production of 8 Women last week. Very impressed. Solid performances by entire cast, beautiful production and the venue itself is a delight. We are so very lucky to have this theatre venue. What a fabulous way to spend a beautiful Hobart Summer evening (or any evening for that matter!)!

Most of the plays at this Theatre are put on by the Hobart Repertory Theatre Society. They have a fantastic group of actors are put on a great variety of plays so there is something each year that will appeal to everyone. My favourite each year is the mystery - usually an Agatha Christie play.

The theatre itself is an old fashioned small theatre with lots of character. It only seats about 230 people so you get a great view from every seat.
