I have used paypal for a number of years now and find it a handy service to use to transfer your money to sellers online. It is a safe way to deal when making purchases from ebay and ebay seems to prefer this method of payment . it is free to buy things but sellers pay a nominal fee for the convienence.

over the last year i have had to deal with paypal,and i didnt like it they took money out of my account and refused to give it back,it dosent matter if you get stuck they seem to be there way or noway and seeming i get a lot from o/s i usually get my family in england to purchase the items and then post them out,i think that is a better way off doing business

Never had a problem with PayPal. Easy to use and convenient. Good security, safety and problem solving for buyer and seller. Fees are reasonable considering extra business gained by selling to people who trust this system over other CC gateways.

Have used Paypal for nearly ten years for Ebay Selling and Buying. It's by far the safest and easiest way to pay for something knowing that if there is a problem or its a scam, I'm covered. This is the only reason I'm comfortable to purchase items from overseas. I've only had one instance where I purchased an item from the UK because I couldn't find it here in Oz. But when I received it, the man had sent me an equivalent to what I wanted. I contacted the company and they said that the rare item was out of stock so they took it upon themselves to send something else. As it was their mistake, I request my monies back as I didn't want the item they sent me as it was nothing to do with my original order. The man said too bad, I get a store credit or nothing. So I went to Paypal and raised a claim and got my monies credited back into my Paypal within 6 days. I was rapt with Paypal chasing my money. If I hadn't gone through them, there is no way I would have got my money back. And Paypal are free ha

I would not pay for an item on the Internet any other way . I trust that all my banking details are safe , and are reassured by the insurance that covers each transaction . Did purchase an item on eBay that never turned up , PayPal resolved the matter with out any problems . I did used PayPal resolution service all communication was kept , a full refund was given without any problem and felt good knowing that PayPal would be taking further action with the seller so nobody else , would find themselves in the same predicament . When you use PayPal you get piece of mind . It has made me confident about my security when making purchases on the net . As far as I am concerned there is no other way to shop .

I love feeling confident shopping online with Paypal, not worrying about disclosing my bank details constantly.

Though as a casual seller on Ebay, the service fees can be a bit daunting sometimes on small auctions.

Overall, it makes my life better.

I have used PayPal both as a buyer as well as a seller, over the past 4 or so years and on regular occassions. Frankly, I find their commissions rate expensive, their foreign exchange rates are less for the AUD (you pay more than you should for items in US$ and UK pounds). As a buyer I resent paying to use my debit card, but PayPal charge for that. They also have "e-cheque" as a payment type sometimes when debiting my bank account, meaning delays in the seller receiving the cleared funds and therefore the delivery of the purchase.

On the aspect of security, I am reasonably relaxed, however, I have received hoax emails from con artists purporting to be PayPal. When I have reported this to PayPal, they do not do anything other than confirm it is a hoax email. No attempt to trace and prosecute the offenders seems to occur, as further emails from the same mob often arrive subsequently.

In short, I avoid PayPal whenever possible, but sometimes it can't be avoided.

I also had that problem with paypal. I reported a fraud attempt on my account and they did nothing. I still use paypal, but would never put absolute trust in them, I'm afraid!

I've used paypal for several years now and find it great for use. Initially I got it to use with ebay and have since appreciated the online businesses that also use paypal. Helpful service when I've had questions and the cost of transactions in $US was a lot better than I was getting with a debit card. I like the security, flexibility and ease of use.

I have been using paypal now for about two years. When selling on ebay i find paypal really comes in handy, since you need it to sell (pretty much).

Payments to my account are very quick and payments out of my account are very quick. Its alot safer than giving out bank details.

Comes in handy when your using a random site that accepts paypal too, makes things run smoother and faster.

Only downside is if you sell an item which is expensive, i find the % paypal takes out can get really high..so you need to keep an eye on that.

While it is probably the safest method to pay for purchased goods on Ebay, they will not, absolutely will not look outside the box to offer a remedy or assist in a helpful manner with solving your problem.

I purchased 2 new Jackets on Ebay, however received 2 used Jackets, smelly, damaged & old. I immediately contacted the seller who took did not reply, I submitted a complaint & was advised by Ebay to return the goods (which I did).

Even though the goods were returned via registered post & I was able to obtain a copy of the register the seller signed when collecting the item from the Post Office, the seller denied receiving the item & Paypal would not accept the copy of the register. I then provided the staff members name & 13 contact number, Post Office branch number & trading hours, Paypal refused to contact the Post Office & confirm the register was legitimate.

So I was out of pocket for paying for the Jackets & postage to return the Jackets, and of course I didn't have the Jackets.

Each time I called the staff simply read the Policy word for word & could not / would not offer any other assistance, not happy.

As I believe it is not fair that you have to offer Paypal as a form of payment when listing items to sell.

However problem now rectified, I don't use Paypal.

I've been a member of PayPal for over 10 years and I've never had a problem. I find it the safest and most secure way to pay online. It is also great for businesses large and small to accept payments.

I've had fraudulent transactions from credit cards in the past and Paypal gives you that piece of mind you really want when shopping online. The also offer buyers protect. Not everywhere will offer you a guarantee with your purchase like Paypal does!

For anyone who is not yet a Paypal member I can highly recommend it, try it for yourself!

I have been a member of paypal now for 15 years and it's definately the SAFEST & MOST CONFIDENT way to pay online. I have had the unfortunate experience of having to lodge several disputes however, PAYPAL has always had my back and covered me all the way.

Paypal really does stand by their guarantee and now I wouldn't pay for any online purchases and other way.

I find the safest way to pay via internet is paypal. I don't like giving out my credit card details, particuarly to sites I have never used before. It's a quick way to finalise a purchase and so easy with the iphone app now too.

Most reliable form of payment online. I have nothing but great things to say about PayPal. I've unfortunately encountered some nasty ebayers but luckily I conduct all transactions through Paypal. I was refunded the full amount and the customer service is always excellent. I recommend Paypal to anyone conducing transactions online. It's reliable and super fast.
