Then welcome to North Brisbane Homestay!


We provide hosted accommodation in a one bedroom self-contained flat for short-term stays in Narangba, a semi-rural setting 7km from North Lakes, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia!

 Your comfort is our main priority, from the quality of the mattress to the ducted air conditioning and hand-made soap in the en-suite. There is also a Massage and Bowen Therapist on site for remedial or relaxation treatments, facials or seated acupressure massage.

A basic food starter pack will help you settle in right away, although there are two
supermarkets within 5 minutes drive.

  The accommodation is ideal for those needing a comfortable, homely base. It was designed in mind of guests that have arrived from interstate, abroad or are visiting Queensland for a short time.  Perhaps you are getting married at Pine Rivers Golf Club, you are in-between homes or you are having renovations done. Whatever the reason, we can provide a homely short-term base.

We are 2 minutes drive to the train station with a journey time of 40 minutes into Brisbane CBD by train. We are also well placed for discovering The Sunshine Coast by car, being 2 minutes drive to the Bruce Highway.  The journey time to the heart of the Sunshine Coast is 45 minutes by car, or around 1 hour by train. In just over 1 hour you could be amidst the glitz and glamour
of The Gold Coast.

 

                     The main features of the accommodation are:

  • Separate entry (2 doors - one side, one rear onto garden)
  • A master bedroom with en-suite shower, sink and loo
  • Separate main living space with double sofa bed, TV and DVD player
  • BBQ and outdoor setting on patio
  • Kitchen with electric oven, microwave, fridge, kettle & toaster.
  • Bed linen, bath and beach towels provided
  • Off-road parking
  • Clothes washing & drying facilities, iron and ironing board
  • Basic food starter pack provided
  • Maximum capacity is 2 adults and 2 children
  • We cannot accommodate dogs or cats
  • Minimum stay of 7 nights

Payment Methods:  Direct deposit, cash, cheque.

We have spent here a week and it has been a great time. The accomodation was clean and there was a lot of space for the whole family. Our kids loved the huge garden and we enjoyed the fact that it's never really hot in the house. Susie and Ken were very kind so overall the stay was great and the place recommandable.

We have stayed here with my 6 year old daughter and had a great time. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and the setting very relaxing.They were very helpful , showed us the area and did everything to make our stay fabulous. Highly recommend this vacation rental.

We stayed here while visiting Queensland over Christmas and were made very welcome. The flat is very clean and comfortable and has everything you need for either a short or long stay. It’s the perfect place to come back to after either a day at the beach or sightseeing.

Where do we start? What an excellent place to stay – we couldn’t of hoped for anything better. Ken and Susie are the perfect hosts and the location is great, being so close to the Bruce Highway but still in a rural setting. The flat has everything you need and if you find something is missing then Susie will most likely have it (we needed stain remover for a t-shirt)! The flat is very clean and comfortable and the bed is almost too comfy (but there is no time to sleep in when there is sightseeing to do). The welcome pack is just that after many hours of travelling. The first thing we wanted before setting off to find the shops was a brew, after all the unpacking of course.

We hope to return to Australia in the future and won’t hesitate to make another booking here. I can’t praise them enough. Thank you for letting us in to your home.

We needed somewhere central to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. This was by-far the most affordable, convenient, and best quality accommodation in the nearby area and beyond.

Upon arrival Susie and Ken provided us with a Welcome Pack with fresh baked bread, marmalade, butter, coffee and tea plus more - which was very welcomed after a long drive with children and not wanting to have to head to the shops.

The local Supermarket is in Narangba, only two minutes drive or twenty minutes walk, and is fully stocked with the necessities. There is a Westfield ten minutes drive down the highway for anything else.

The kitchen is completely stocked with the equipment you would need for a weeks stay. Microwave, Decent size fridge, Oven and Stove, Washing Machine, Cups, Plates, Cutlery, Baking pans, Wok... you name it, Susie and Ken have thought to include it. They even went to the trouble, without request, of going out to buy a high chair for our use and child locks for the kitchen cupboards to make sure we were comfortable.

The other important stuff; Soft towels. Very comfortable bed. New / clean fittings. Some Aromatherapy soap, made by Susie, was a nice touch in the bathroom.

For those with kids, Narangba has a brilliant, secure playground only two minutes drive from the home-stay.

I will recommend this home-stay to anyone looking for accommodation in the area, and look forward to returning soon.

We recommend North Brisbane Home-stay for its comfort and hospitality. Ideal for holidays and migration transitional stay. The hosts were very friendly and the flat has all you need for a comfortable stay. It certainly was an excellent start point for our adventure (migration) down under. Thank you.
