Loved my hair appointment at this salon. I was desperate for a good stylist and was slotted in with Mel. Very trendy gorgeous looking young girl with a great personality. She talked to me about what colour I was looking for and I felt very comfortable in changing my style with her. Brilliant cut. Left feeling a million dollars and hope that I can continue to have her fit me in.

Went into minks studio for a cut with [retracted name], although the cut was fantastic the way she treated other staff surely wasn't, very rude, clicked her fingers at one of them, even yelled at one of them infront of me, I felt like I was being rushed. I had a lovely Wash and head massage in their amazing basin room by a younger staff member, I enjoyed the service I was given, I however didn't enjoy the way she treated other staff.

The hairdresser tried to talk me out of both the cut and colour that I asked for after I showed her pictures of what I wanted. Then when we finally agreed on something, she didn't even do the cut she said she was going to. I had to ask her multiple times at the end to keep fixing it because it didn't look finished. I could barely notice that my hair had been coloured since instead of giving me what I asked for, she chose a colour that was too similar to my natural colour. NOT what you expect to receive when you pay upmarket rates. Then the next day at work, three people commented that the cut looked 'uneven' and that there were long bits sticking out where there shouldn't be! I had to take a pair of scissors to it myself to correct it. Extremely disappointed in this salon and would never go back.

I went into Minks back at the start of the year after a recommendation and had an amazing colour and cut by stylist Erin. Fantastic basin room but very grotty backroom and walk through to a run down bathroom. Young staff were nice but talked inappropriately during hair wash. And we're spoke very rudely to senior staff in front of client (me)
Will definitely go back as due for a chop and loved the last but hope that attitudes improve.

Really friendly people, I had my hair done at another salon and the hairdresser coloured my hhair completely white so a friend suggested this place. Managed to squeeze me in and made the colour really natural blonde. Thouroughly reccomend it.

Really nice people to help you in this salon. Go to Andrew or Mel for a fantastic cut and Mel is the best colourist I have ever been to. Both of them are true artists. The salon is gorgeous too. Always changing. Truly fun to get your hair done and chat with equally fun people.

I love this business. This is the best hair cut that I have ever had. You pay a little more but trust me you get a little more. From amazing head massage to the best cutters in Hawthorn. The couple that own the store are the most lovely and warm people that you will ever meet. Totally recommend to everyone that I know.

Minks Studio is run by a lovely husband and wife team who are funky and friendly and accomodating to your needs. They provide an excellent, friendly hairdressing service, and let's face it, the conversation is fun as well. They have high standards for staff and everyone is solicitous without being insincere.

The business has upscale clients, but there's nothing snooty about it. The shop itself occupies an interesting space. They change the artwork frequently, so you always have something new to examine without feeling intimidated.

You always leave feeling like a million bucks, and the compliments flow for days afterwards.
