Convenient place to stay in the SouthBank precinct. Lost a star because the rooms and general fitout of the rooms are getting tired and dirty

i stayed here with my husband. we booked for 2 people and they gave us a huge room with 2 bedrooms. the hotel is lovely. only a short walk to southbank & crown. the buffet breakfast is great.

We recently stayed at Mantra and the experience was wonderful. The place was in the famous Southbank just beside Crown and I loved the location. The staff were friendly and helpful

We recently stayed at the Mantra on City Road for 2 nights.

It was the ideal location for us to walk to the city and to walk to Melbourne Park for the Australian Open tennis.

The room was clean & comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

I would happily stay here again.

When we first entered the 2bed/2bath deluxe room we noticed that the room was pleasant and tastefully furnished however as we settled in it became more apparent that the room was not clean - in fact it was dirty! Not what you would expect from a 4.5 star "Mantra" hotel. While the reception staff were friendly and helpful it was hard to relax in a room that had obviously NEVER actually been cleaned properly. I'm not sure what servicing of our room actually consisted of during our stay as beds were not made and complimentary toiletries were not stocked properly? However this Hotel is well located.
