Leisa's Dressmaking, Maddington

Leisa was amazing I emailed freaking out that I needed my bridesmaids dress altered in 4 days (I had just arrived in from London) and was worried I would be walking down the aisle with the zip undone.

When I went to her she was relaxed and said she could fix it no problem and that is what she did. I couldn't believe how relaxed and calm she was and how friendly and comfortable she made me feel.

I ordered my dress online, and when I tried it on it was a bit to big, the tulle was to long and the petty coat to short, so my feet were itchy. The boning was to long at the waist, and a few other small things needed fixed. Leisa straight away told me what needed to be done to fix the dress and what she could do to help make it look shmick. She also gave me options for things that could be fixed two ways and told me which would be cheaper (ie take less time to change). She showed me some of her other work, and I can't wait to get my dress. Leisa is also very helpful giving you tips on where to find the best shoe, and lingerie shops. I find her to be very professional, down to earth and practical with what to expect from her services.

I contacted Leisa after being referred by a friend as I didn't want to go through a dressmaker that was attached to the big bridal shops. I was searching for personalised service, quality dressmaking and an experienced dressmaker. I found it in Leisa. She has been extremely helpful from the get-go. She respected my suggestions and was honest and genuine with her opinions. I needed my straps taken up, hem up, bussle and cups removed. I was very impressed with her work and she has been nothing but friendly and willing to help. Thank you Leisa - you've helped me look absolutely perfect for my big day!

I found the customer service at 'Leisa's Dressmaking' to be quite appalling. The dressmaker was brash and intimidating to two of my younger bridal party, and made them feel terrible, to the point of them requesting not to go back again. She was OK most of the time, but never did we feel comfortable at any of the fittings. To top it all off, on the day I picked up our gowns she made the comment 'Well I will be very surprised if your husband to be puts up with you for a year, and if you're together at your 1 year anniversary be sure to let me know!'. Not only was my wedding days away, I was also 4 months pregnant. Completely unacceptable.

As for the service, she did do a very good job on most of it, though the straps on two of the bridesmaid dresses unstitched on the way to the ceremony, which caused a bit of last minute running around looking for some safety pins.

Great customer service,affordable, reliable and efficient. I needed some bridemaids dresses at short notice with going to the USA to get married and came across Leisa's site, I emailed her and received a response back very quickly. The dresses were made perfect and fit right for my bridesmaids esp with both of them living in the USA. I will definately recommend Leisa to anyone needing an excellent dressmaker.

Great customer service was there from second I pressed send on the email one night - I had an email response waiting for me in the morning. Really happy with the work that Leisa has done to my wedding dress - very comfortable and can't even tell it has been altered. Dress was back hanging in the wardrobe within 2 weeks. Thank you!

After being quoted $55 each to do some minor alterations to two pairs of trousers and finding they still hadn't been started one week after dropping them off somewhere else, I found Leisa - and I'm soooo glad I did. She completed the work overnight for much less than I expected to pay and I couldn't even tell that she had removed a stictch! Leisa's approach and her work were so professional I have been telling anyone and everyone about her ever since. I hope she managed to get some more work out of it.
