I had been going to this Vet for over 14 years and most of those years Chris Boneo was my Vet and he was terrific – I had complete faith and trust in his care of my Cat (16) and Dog (10). Both my kids were due for their check-ups in May when I called I was told Chris had sold the business and the new owner would see us. I had blood tests done on both and they came back perfect no issues. My cat had a bit of arthritis in her back leg but she was on supplements and it was all manageable. During the check-up it was noted that my cat had a tooth at the back than would need to be extracted. So a few weeks later I took her down for this procedure. When I went to pick her up was told she would need to go on arthritis medication which I purchased while there – I thought this a bit strange as nothing was said at her check-up a couple of weeks prior. But it all became clear when I got her home as she was limping badly on her front legs and was off her food for 2-3 weeks. Prior to going for this procedure she was a great eater. I got back a very different cat to the one I dropped off that morning. It was obvious to me that she had either been dropped or jumped from a high table – I won’t go into what she has had to go through with another Vet she now goes to but injections and medication probably for the rest of her life. I would not recommend using this Vet at all.

Unhappy, such a rip off. Front counter staff were not nice either. Only care about money. Would not recommend to anyone. Had my dog stay in for not even a day and they charged $700.

The Vet lady was really nice, caring and compassionate. We really appreciate her, she had a really nice personality and was very kind to us.

However the 2 people at reception, horrible customer experience.

That day, we had brought our little one to the vet, and that night when we went to pick up our little one, he didn't make it through. It was a sad loss for our family, and the 2 people at reception weren't helping at all.

At the time of payment, there was a miscommunication. We were charged over $700 for leaving our little one at the vet for around 7 hours.

Such a rip off. If we had known, we would have not gone to this vet. We only had to resort to this vet because our usual vet was fully booked out for the next 2 days.

As a result, we had no other choice but to go to this vet as when we called them up, they said that we could bring in our little one as soon as possible.

Now we understand why we could bring in our little one ASAP, its because they don't get any jobs/business to do. With the bad service that they gave us, and the over priced treatment, who would want to go here.

I would not recommend any of my friends or family to go here at all.

The look on their faces that the 2 people at reception gave us were horrible. It wasn't like we weren't going to pay the money. It was just a big shock that we would get charged for leaving our little one at the vet for around 7 hours.

We were literally balling our eyes out as our little one died, yet the 2 people reception were trying to get a payment out of us straight away. And when we were shocked to see the tax invoice come out, they stood their with a hatred expression.

Never have I ever been to somewhere in my life with such poor experience and a bad memory like this.

I adopted a kitten from them and received excellent service, free animal care products and excellent follow up service and advice They had a true warmth and empathy and I was so heartened that they find the time to save otherwise unwanted animals

I would like to say the people who work in vet clinics have to have a certain heart to be able to withstand the sadness that comes through their doors but also the compassion and understanding it takes to be a good listener and supportive person for those who come in with a tale of sorrow. My beautiful fur baby of 17 years was sadly put to sleep after a short illness and the vet clinic not only accepted us in only 10 mins before closing time on a Saturday, they did the tests required and sadly allowed the euthanasia to occur as well as the grieving to occur on their own time. Its never easy to say goodbye but in no time did i feel rushed to get out of there or say goodbye in a hurry, i was given comfort and time to say the goodbye i had to do. They were professional at all times and im not sure i would be able to contain my composure had i been in their position with others, it certainly takes a certain kind of person to be able to be in that position. As hard as it was to bit farewell to my beloved pet they showed me and her the compassion and dignity a family member should be given in a time of sadness and loss. I was even sent a bereavement card which touched my heart in more ways i could express.

Love the people here. They genuinely care about you and your little (or big) companion, and are NOT just trying to take money off you. Open til 8pm which is fantastic for those who can only find the time to take their pets after work. Even phone service is great! Love them.

Best vets I have ever used! We changed over to Keysborough Veterinary Practice about 5 years ago. They are so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and caring. We had two cats and two dogs all of whom had to have major surgery there. They did such a great job at such a great price. Their follow ups via telephone calls from them to see how our animals and ourselves were travelling (which is an awesome, caring service to provide) and their follow up visits are extremely thorough. We also have had to Euthinaise two of our animals there and they are so quick and caring, even send sympathy cards out to use about our loss. Have and will continue to refer my friends, a couple of which have also changed from their old vets to Keysborough due to their fantastic service and pricing. Keep up the fantastic work guys! We (and our pets) are yours for good!

Nurses are helpful, informative, caring and quick to offer help and advice. Chris is great and Lisa who is looking after my cat with IBS at the moment is just lovely! She is willing to take my neurotic phone calls any time and doesn't make me feel like I'm bothering her. They always phone you back when they say they will. If the cost of the treatment is going to be expensive, they always give you the expensive or cheaper option. Newsletters are brilliant!
