I stumbled across this store last weekend and was instantly taken into another world! Their range of toys is stunning for such a small shop. But the thing that stands out is the quality of all the toys and the service. It was a joy spending time in this store and I look forward to my next visit.

There is a great range of toys hear and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. However the toys are expensive and if you do you research you can find what you like alot cheaper.

Whimsical toy store, this store is exactly how you would picture a toy store to be. It has engaging window displays as well as wonderfully merchandised products. All staff I have encountered have always offered wonderful customer service, including product knowledge. I have visited most toy stores in Victoria, and this is at the top of my list, not just for toys (which are of the highest quality) but also for the experience.

I WAS SERVED BY THE RUDEST SALES ASSISTANT I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. I PICKED UP AN ITEM AS WAS TOLD TO PUT IT DOWN AS IT COST $220. I run a business in the cbd and I will make sure I tell every single client I have (750) and make sure they NEVER step foot in this appalling place.

I have been going into this store since it opened, I have never had anything except exceptional service, and the staff always are willing to help and offer suggestions. The staff had to tell some of the children off, but they did so in a gentle manner, asking the kids to please put that away or give them the item in question. I can understand why, as their products are of exceptional quality, with the prices to reflect this. I also noticed signs on all the ride-on toys saying "Please do not ride me". Their range is fantastic, and their store always looks clean and full of stock.

The Good:
Service, products, store layout.
The Bad:
Not enough money to buy what we want.

Hi Louise If staff had spoken to my children in the way that you had suggested, or even to me, of course we would have said to the kids to stop. But there was no verbal communication and the contrast in behaviour which staff directed to the other child could not have been more obvious. And there was also no sign on the trike. I also accept the view expressed below that as a small store owner, you need to protect your stock. However, this is a toy store and parents make decisions on which toys to buy based on whether their children show interest in the toys and you can only judge this by allowing children to touch the toys. Again, our kids did so gently and were supervised at all times. Lan

The one easy way to locate this store is that it's opposite Koko Black in the Royal Arcade, but I digress. Having a newborn, my wife and I want to make sure we don't just buy any old toy. We're looking for quality, uniqueness and charm. Jasper Junior has an amazing range of educational and decorative items for the little tot/tots in your life. The toys are of wonderful quality (lovely wood rattles from Germany) and novelty (a knitted rattle in the shape of a carrot anyone?) that you'd be hard pressed not to find something. They even range clothing and blankets made out of 80% bamboo fiber (so soft and luxurious) that would never be available at Babyco or Baby Bunting. I haven't even been upstairs where they have costumes! There's so much more, I think I'd be visiting this store until my child is 10.

The Good:
Amazing range; lots of unique items; shoppers easily lost for hours
The Bad:
Plenty of imported items means slightly higher prices (but it's all worth it!)
