oh so very pricey but i do admit you feel like a million bucks staying here! even with just the guest room i was already blown away from the moment you step into the building on the mahogany and spacious lobby it's definitely a pamper fest!

i'm a massive fan of the automatic black out blinds - it was really weird knowing it was broad daylight outside when it's still nice and dim in your room (great for sleeping in!)

the trump card with the hotel is the location tbh, literally next door to the shopping mall and the convention center, and close to the city i would recommend this for tourists with money to throw away who don't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of inner melbourne cbd

My husband and I stayed her for our wedding night, and the night after.

I knew it was modern hotel, and I was hoping for the rooms to be spacious and comfortable, but I was blown away by just how lovely they were.

We were on the 17th floor in an Executive room, which I highly recommend to anyone.

The view from our room was gorgeous and probably the best views of Melbourne you can find anywhere.

What I loved about this room, among other things was the bath tub. I am a sucker for a nice, deep bath and this one ticked all the boxes. It was big enough for both of us to fit into without feeling like sardines, and the bathroom amenaties meant that it smelled amazing too.

They have enormous showers too, which is another great thing for couples and water savers alike.

The best thing though was the absolute comfort of the beds. Amazing. They are so soft and embracing that you don't want to get out of them. By far the best sleep I have ever had in a Melbourne hotel room.

We had access to the Execuitve Lounge and this was great too. The breakfast was great and the free internet and printer access was really handy.

We will most definitely be coming back here on our anniversary.

Nice room, comfy bed & nice view! Stayed here for a night after a concert and for the price, don't think I would stay again. . Internet access is a bit pricey, ( I can't keep away from work ) would otherwise be an ok place to stay for business. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast

I'm spending a night in Melbourne soon, will definitely consider this hotel. Except it may be too expensive.

having to pay extra for internet is a bit of a hassle if you need to constantly check your emails!

Stayed here recently and were disappointed with the dirty windows on our "city view" room - could barely view the city through those! The room had very cool black out blinds - it still felt like the middle of the night at 9am in the morning! Overall though, the room was pretty basic and we were definitely expecting something much nicer for the price. Breakfast was easily the highlight of our stay. The buffet breakfast was AMAZING - have never seen anything like it before. Very very impressive. Wouldn't stay here again but would definitely go back for breakfast!

Stayed in one of their King Suite City View rooms and have to admit that I was expecting more for the cost... I have stayed at hotels for half this cost and had better style and larger rooms. That said, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing... in fact it was hard to get out of! The views were great and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Only other thing is that we were offered valet parking at $50 or parking opposite in the DFO park for $20. We took the $50 valet option however noticed when we were chekcing out that our car was parked in the DFO parking area anyway!! So we paid $50 for them to drive it and bring it to us! I would chose the $20 option next time and park it yourself LOL... overall though.. the room wasnt anything spectacular for the price, but was comfortable and the restaurant and the bed, bathroom made up for some of it. :)

Approximate cost: $369

We stayed at the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf as part of a business conference and found it conveniently located to MCEC. The reception area is very dark and the lifts are slow. However, being so close to the venue is important and the rooms are well appointed. We think the cafe on the ground floor has a good range of breakfast options and the promptness of staff was appreciated.

Approximate cost: $280.00

This hotel was absolutely amazing - quality at it's best! My husband and I spent our first two nights of our marriage in the Relaxation Suite which provided a romantic setting to begin our marriage. The room gave us access to the Executive Lounge which is great with an extensive buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and canapes in the evening with free drinks all day which made the reasonably high price a little cheaper. We got a weekend special for two nights but it is still reasonably expensive - however compared with other 5 star hotels the Hilton South Wharf is in a class of it's own! We loved it there. The staff were absolutely fantastic!

Approximate cost: $900

I've stayed there a couple times, really like it. It is very new, the bed was comfortable, love the bathtub, even got spa. The breakfast was good too. The other one in east melbourne is not as new as this one. And love the electronic curtain (blinds).

Approximate cost: $250
