So much fun you don't realise you are working out! Charni is a patient, engaging, warm teacher who encourages all of her students - young, old, nimble, and not-so-nimble!
We learn a mix of techniques, and do a whole lot of choreography, and even perform in welcoming and fun environments.
Charni mixes it up so we are never bored - including props like veils and canes, and more challenging routines for the advanced students.
Love it!

Charni is a great teacher! She's very attentive and patient. Classes are suitable for all levels and a fun way to fit in some cardio.

Charni is an excellent teacher for students from the new to the more advanced. She is friendly, welcoming and patient, which is what I like in a dance teacher. I gained the confidence to perform, which is not something I'd considered possible when I first started. The group is so inclusive and lovely I consider everyone friends, rather than just people I dance with on Tuesdays.

There's a great mix of traditional and modern dances and music. It's the same for props too: canes, veils, Isis wings. The intermediate class focuses on technique, which is really helpful as you can see the results immediately and the next week. The advanced class has a routine choreographed by the group, which was fun to put together.

As Charni is so welcoming, this class is ideal for people who don't come from a dancing background, but suits dancers too. If you can't quite get a move, Charni will happily show you again, again and again.

Charni offers fun belly dance classes that are suitable from beginners to the more advanced.

I attend her classes in the Endeavour Hills community centre. She offers a Beginner's class and an Intermediate, where she teaches you classical Egyptian ("Cabaret") style belly dance, including props like veils and stick.

The dance space there is a decent size, though it's lacking a mirror which are handy - but it does have full length windows with blinds, which we use as a sort of mirror :) It's easy to get to and airconditioned (very important in summer :D)

Charni has a warm, bubbly personality, which makes the classes fun and vibrant. She encourages the students to do the occasional performance too, which is great.

I would highly recommend these classes for anyone wanting to learn this style of dance.

She does offer online classes and you can book her to perform at events as well.

Approximate cost: $13.50
