This place is one of Sydney's little treasures. So the deal is that for $29 you get all you can eat amazing veggie meal and it is the best food. This is not a place to go if you are a diet because its very hard to stop eating, once you are done with the buffet try the chocolate moose, its so rich and yummy, share it with a friend.

After dinner you line up and go for a little lay down and watch a film, they usually have a mix of current films and a little bit of bollywood/art-house in the mix. don't feel shy if you fall asleep in the film, i have but just try not to snore.

this place is fab! only down point is there is too much food for my beady little eyes and small stomach. could easily make myself sick in here. and the cinema concept is outstanding. i wish all the govindas/gopals etc in all the cities i have lived in offered the same thing. cant wait to go again.

A perfect mix between cinema and restaurant, all-in-one but together in a perfect atmosphere, very relaxing and very quiet. The vegetarian banquet is beautiful and various. Perfect for a couple.

Never thought vegetarian food could be so tasty? Come to Govinda's. The prices are reasonable and for a special price, you can see both a movie and have dinner. The seats in the cinema are like recliners; very good after a big meal.

Govinda's is a restaurant and movies rolled into one. You can either have a meal at the restaurant (Indian vegetarian and very delicious) or you can alternately, purchase a ticket to see a movie in their bean bag cinema. Either way, a great evening will be had.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. It offers a small vegetarian buffet which is quite tasty and the restaurant is very cosy. The biggest draw card though is its in-house cinema. I enjoyed the dinner/movie combo where you ate dinner in the restaurant and moved upstairs to the cinema room afterwards. It is a unique cinema in that it provides you with cushions/beds/lounges to sit on rather than standard cinema chairs.
