For Lucy is all about reducing our footprint on this earth. We use only sustainable and ethical ingredients, as many are locally or Australia sourced as possible, and all our products are cruelty free. Many are vegan friendly, using handmade plant milks in soaps, plant oils in the soaps, creams and lotions.

However, supporting local business is important to us, so locally sourced bees wax is used in some of the products.

Our aim is to minimise the cost at the same time, to allow these quality personal care products to be availalbe and affordable by as many people as possible.

The products are all palm oil free.

It's great shopping at "For Lucy". Gillian is so knowledgeable and kind, her products are lovely and very affordable. I love shopping at her place, especially knowing that some or all of the money she makes helps out her orphaned wildlife etc. She is a great person. I have bought her face creams, hand lotions, soaps both hard and liquid, hair products also - all are lovely and kind to the skin.

thank you for this fantastic review. Gosh, I didn't realise how I come across! Went to rescue wallaby today with broken leg, but he died before I could get there. Poor love.

Gillian provides a wonderful array of healing personal care, candles, aromatherapy oils, herbs and spices. Her wondrous array of products are made with so much love. I look forward to my weekly beauty treatment with her deliciously cleansing mud mask, followed up by her nourishing moisturisers. Gillian is so passionate and dedicated in her approach and this magic and beauty are felt in all of her products. My family have sensitive skin, so we adore her selection of goats milk soaps and new calendula based products. I am also sipping on her amazing organic Cammomile Tea as we speak. Her sandalwood and musk rose tealight candles infuse my Yoga Space and the essence is so pure and uplifting for the soul.

Gillian is an Earth MOther, full of radiant love and light....her skills are limitless and i am so grateful and blessed to be able to have all of her healing and soothing products as part of my daily life.

Gillian at For Lucy is so very knowledgeable on all things animals and also makes really gorgeous skin care products. I have not tried everything yet but I love the face moisturiser, the body moisturiser, the face scrub and the beautiful body soaps. Next on my list are the soy candles and the organic honey! Everything is made from the most natural of ingredients and I believe she grows a lot of the ingredients herself. It's always a pleasure to drop in and look around and to have a chat. I learn something and am inspired every time I drop in! Gillian is always very welcoming. Do yourself a favour, as I did, and try her products and services. You will be glad you did! Donna

thank you for this wonderful review. I love animals, spend my days with them! Rescues and mothering can take its toll on available time for things needing to be done, but babies and patients must take priority. I learn so much from our fellow earth creatures every day, all the time.

I really enjoyed meeting Gillian in her lovely Belmont surroundings and looking over the range of skin care products. I purchased Winter Soother, Hidden Promise (intense moisturising for mature skin), a range of lovely soaps made of natural products and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of making up for years of neglect to my (mature) skin. i really relish the experience of showering with the soft and soothing soaps from For Lucy..

I regularly buy handmade soaps and liquid soaps from For Lucy. They offer a great variety of scents (all essential oils), and a variety of bases that the soaps are made from, ie. olive oil, almond milk, shey butter etc. I love the soaps, as they smell beautiful (good enough to eat) and they make less scum in the shower of bath than commercial brands. The products are not over packaged and the owner recycles where possible.

This a great cottage business with ethics.

I has suffered with psoriasis and ezcema for most of my life until I started using "For Lucy" soaps, shampoo, hand wash and Rich Moisture Cream. I now have no sign of any psoriasis or excema. I cannot speak highly enough of these products.

I have also purchased gifts for my Japanese friends from the gift shop. My one stop shop for a number of my needs.

I really love the way Gillian shares her knowledge with customers. She holds classes and is shows how to make brilliant products that are just right for you and your family.

If you ask for a product that Gillian does not make, she will research to find an appropriate solution for your situation, make some and ask you to test it carefully, scientifically.

With a real village attitude, Gillian is there to support the people and the creatures of her community (animal products as well).

Fantastic products and unbelievably priced! Have not used any commercially made products on my skin for 2 years now and Im constantly getting compliments on how great it looks and how wonderful I always smell. I use Hidden Promise on my face- absolutely beautiful, Macashea Body Mousse for all over- smells amazing, the body scrub and foot scrub- incredibly invigorating, Heavy duty Restore- does just that for any dry body part, Winter Soother- great for insect bites or any area that needs TLC, the roll on deodorant - kills any bacteria, is so fresh to wear and doesnt stain your clothes, and every soap Gillian makes -so many different and beautiful scents I can never decide so I just buy them all.

My mother now uses these products and says that she looks forward to having her shower because it is always such a pleasure to be enveloped in the wonderful aromas and scents from the soaps and body and face creams- another convert for Gillian and For Lucy products!!!

Also the fact that this business actively supports wildlife rescue (I know- Ive seen many of the rescued animals and the work that Gillian does with them) with the proceeds is yet another reason to purchase from this amazing business. An incredibly important message and ecologically sound philosophy underpins the foundation of this business and I am more than happy to support this- the fact that Gillian offers incredible products makes it a no brainer for me where I put my money.

Wouldn't go back to the chemical stuff ever and I feel great knowing that Im able to do a little bit toward helping those who do the vital and humane job of rescuing animals who need it.

Couldnt recommend this business higher!!!!!

I regularly use several of For Lucy's products, including the Heavy Duty Restore Cream, the eye cream, the coconut body moisteriser, body scrub and the peppermint and lemon foot scrub. They smell amazing and leave my skin feeling beautiful and soft. The eye cream also works really well as an eye make-up remover - I apply a layer to my eye and wipe it off with a cotton-wool pad.

I really like that Gillian makes a huge range of soaps with essential oils - you have to smell the rose one, it's to die for! The soaps look a bit rustic, but that's the idea and you know that they don't have anything nasty in them or that they're tested on animals.

And if you ask really nicely, Gillian will add your favourite essential oils to your body moisteriser and you can get a matching oil perfume. :-)

I love For Lucy products. All handmade and ethically produced by a local Brisbane lady. The soaps smell gorgeous and I love her MMJ and summer light facial moisturisers. I've ordered online a few times (after asking lots of questions via email!) and find it's always delivered quickly. She also specially made me some specially scented cleanser last time which was lovely.
