I am obsessed with this place! It is sooooo yummy! The pork taco is scrumptious and dont even get me started on the lychee cocktails. The prices are amazing, the food is so quick from ordering to your table.
The staff are fabulous and very friendly.
The only thing I would say is waiting for a table can be a pain.

Fonda has been in the neighbourhood for a while now and I've been meaning to try it for probably since it opened. Finally got the chance last weekend - I went down with the family for a late lunch on a Sunday.

This place is pretty cool, and had a tempting menu that made it hard to make a decision. The grilled corn is amazing, nice and smoky and served with lime and coconut. My fish taco was similarly delicious. They were a bit small though and I could definitely have gone too. If you're looking for something a bit more filling, the burritos I saw on others people's tables looked like they were up to the task.

We ate plenty of the chips and aioli too but they weren't anything groundbreaking. I also tried the horchata with tequila which was...interesting! But then again I'm not a huge tequila fan so that could have been a case of carpe diem for me.

I would definitely come back again especially seeing as it is just down the road from where I usually stay when I'm visiting Melbourne.

The staff were friendly but definitely carried that oft-found-in-Melbourne aura of 'too-cool'. But hey, if the food is good and it gets to you reasonably quickly, I don't see any reason to let that stop you.

Very packed most nights, great atmosphere and pretty good meals. It has alot of hype and the food isn't THAT amazing however it is fresh and good value for money.

This was pretty packed when we arrived and had to wait a little for a table. I found the food to be just average, nothing really wow or special about it. Menu is a pretty standard Mexican with additional things like fat chips and aioli though the food here is fresh. The only highlight of my night was the braised beef taco which was pretty nice though. Not sure if I would come back - I guess if I was in the area and there wasn't such a huge crowd here then I probably would.

The place is pretty small and it's always packed. They don't take reservations so either go early or be prepared to wait. Whatever you do, don't go in a group of more then 6 because you most likely won't get a table for an hour.

The menu is rather small but everything is fantastic. The tacos are quite small - think entree sized. The burritos are great. We had the kangaroo which was perfect. The quesadillas were very good too - both the mushroom and chorizo ones. Everything is spicy there, as expected from a Mexican restuarant, but if you're really not up for spice, get the mushroom quesadilla. Or you can order the milk drink (first item on the drinks list - I can't remember what it's called) which is awesome.

Approximate cost: $15
