I saw Sheila throughout my first pregnancy and labour at mercy in Heidelberg. She was very knowledgeable, but not very approachable - during my labour (induced for preeclampsia) she instructed me that I was 'going' to have an epidural (which I didn't want) there was no explanation as to why it would be a good option (to lower BP) the midwives needed to explain this to me and no explanation as to anything that went on during delivery (episiotomy etc...)
I've had 2 more babies since with midwife care and they were far far more pleasant experiences for the sheer fact of being able to have a more caring thorough practitioner. It is also worth noting this Drs conditions of practice on AHPRA.

I highly recommend Sheila. She is a delightful, knowledgeable and caring obstetrician & gynaecologist, who delivered both my babies.

In 2008 & 2011 I received plenty of attention before the birth, during labour and after labour.

Sheila was very supportive and gave me the confidence required for labour. I was very fortunate to have her along with the caring midwives at Mercy in Heidelberg.

I have seen Shelia for all three of my pregnancies and she was wonderful very caring and patient. Especially considering I had I high risk pregnancies she ensured that I was being routinely monitored and that my health and baby's was the number priority at all times. She would response to phone calls and emails, appt wait times were good.

Dr Mulvey was approachable and made herself available whenever I required her. Appointment times suited my availability and I didn't need to wait very long in the waiting room (a plus when I had a toddler in toe). Any concerns or questions I had were answered promptly and everything was done to deliver my daughter into the world in a safe and healthy way. If I was planning on having children, I would be returning to her because it was such a good experience.

I have had three children with dr mulvey and am very happy with our experiences. Not only was she very thorough and well knowledged during the prenatal stage, she was able to give us a wonderful birthing experience. She is prompt with her appointments, eased any concerns we had and was available whenever we needed her (day or night). She is easy to talk to and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

I've used Sheila for both of my pregnancies. She's a wonderful, Irish doctor, who immediately puts patients at ease. She's very much concerned with what the patient wants, within reason, she doesn't push opinions unless medically necessary. I'd recommend Sheila to anyone!
