Depetro's Restaurant, Mobile Service

This restaurant has to be one on the best kept secret in Victoria,freshly cooked italian meals just like the best meals one can have in the best italian restaurants in Italy ! The extremely competitive prices plus the friendliest service I have ever come across makes you want to eat there every night.(Simon Phillip)

My favourite dish is spinach and ricotta canneloni and Depetro's do the best canneloni I have tasted in a very long time. The service is superb and the food is divine. The staff are friendly and treat you like a long lost friend. Can't wait to go back

i am a local resident of gisborne an i have been for over 13 years an i was pleased to hear of the new italian restaurant here in our small town, even more pleased to have enjoyed every visit to depetros so far. food is amazing, service is great, i really enjoy the fresh thin crust pizza's an also you have to try the scollapine pizziola! great stuff!

We had a big dinner here about a month ago and had a really great time. :) The food was great, service average and the ambience was brilliant. Yeah, to agree with previous reviews, the desserts were less than great. But the main dining experience as a whole was pretty much worth the time and money spent.

Depetro's is a new italian restaurant in gisborne so we thought we would give it a try, it was fantastic so we have returned many times! the food is always very tasty no matter what you order. staff are always friendly and its great value for money! i would recommend this for anyone wanting a decent feed without paying through the nose.

Depetro's is new to Gisborne and I'd describe it as a family friendly, Italian Restaurant. It is like a La Porcetta offering the usual veal, chicken and steak meals plus pizza and pasta. Our main meals tasted fresh and had good flavor but dessert was a little disappointing, clearly from a packet. The decor is basic cafe style and very casual. The staff are friendly but lack any knowledge of the menu. They did not know what the fish of the day was and even the most basic questions about the meals could not be answered without a trip back to the kitchen, very frustrating. The meat dishes are reasonably priced around $20, pizza/pastas around $14. The seafood jumps up to $25+ and I found the only fish dish was pretty pricey at $27.50. The wine list is very light on, only two or three on offer but they do allow byo wine with a $2.50 p.p. corkdage charge. Our overall experience was satisfactory and with the addition of some daily specials, a couple of homemade desserts and better informed staff they could do well.
