Easy to find location on the intersection of Illawarra Road and Central Ave, nice atmosphere and decor with friendly and attentive staff. If you dont want to take my word for it then maybe knowing that it has one a Sydney Morning Herald 2014 Good Cafe award is a selling point.
Nutritious and healthy with a unique menu that has a selection one wont find everywhere, sourdough is a winner with me. Not to mention the creamy coffee that I have become accustomed to here.

Cornersmith is one of my favourite cafes, I have been here so many times I've lost count!

The cute little cafe is homey and relaxing. You can really feel the love the owners have for the place.

We generally go here for a brunch and get one of the sandwiches or rolls. Delicious, fresh, flavoursome and healthy. All of their food is sourced locally or grown and their pickles are made by them. I highly recommend the brown rice pudding with pear but to be honest all of their food is yum! The menu continuously changes according to the season so you would never be bored. Everything I've tried received a tick of approval.

The coffee is Mecca, perfectly made each time, perfect hit and smooth at the same time. I've also tried their single origin espressos as well, which I was very impressed with - it came with a spoon to mix and sparkling water to cleanse the palate.

Overall, if you're around the area you must definitely come here. Try their muffins or coffee if you want to sit in then you must definitely try their fresh food.

Approximate cost: $8

Cornersmith is a small family-run cafe located on busy Illawarra Road in Marrickville. I've heard rave reviews about this cafe, which can be busy at times but abit quiter during the week. This place sources ingredients from sustainably and are ethically sourced! Whilst I only came in for a take-away large mocha coffee (4.50) for the older bro and myself , the food eaten by diners looked amazing, great poached eggs and heart and plates of cheese, ham, olives, dips with crusty bread!

Whilst the friendly barista was making the coffees, you can notice along the shelves they sell their own goodies like pickles and honey and other jarred goodies. The menu looks seasonal and they use whats in season, I will definitely pop back to sample the menu. Btw the coffee was a real pick me up - smooth, right amount of cocoa and caffeine!

Great cafe to unwind over coffee, brunch or to grab a take-away coffee! Beautiful mocha coffee at that too!

Approximate cost: $4.50/ large
