Thinking about taking my complaint to the ACCC, I feel sick every time I think about my dealings with the car doctor. I got quoted $500 to fix an oil leak and replace a sensor in a Peugeot.
The bill got up to $1100 and they where then giving me a 100% guarantee that it is the timing chain$1600.
9 months later.... They ring and tell me it's all good to pick up, payed them $3000 and I didn't even get 400m down the road and it was doing exactly the same thing as the day I dropped it off and they never fixed the oil leak.
Don't trust them and save yourself the headache and don't risk going there.

I was given an expected job completion time but was told that the car will it be ready for another 4 hours as the mechanic that was working on my vehicle had gone to lunch, they missed an engine clip, spilt oil on the engine bay and I found a cigarette butt in my bumper. Absolutely disgusting service. The job they were to perform was carried out to a satisfactory standard though

Very happy with price, speed and quality of the repairs to my car. No surprises, will be heading back here again for sure. I needed a rego check on a 30 y.o. vehicle and was prepared for a big bill but was really surprised with the modest list of repairs needed.

Possibly the most helpful mechanics I have ever dealt with. Very conscious of budget and takes time to explain what exactly the problem is. Dealing with Fords for many years I would recommend this workshop to anyone

As everyone has already mentioned, Greg and his staff at the Car Doctor are fantastic. Prices are reasonable, work is fantastic, and they will only need to do what needs to be done. If something doesn't need replacing they won't replace it just to get extra $$$. Have been going to the Car Doctor for years now and always had fantastic service. They always go above and beyond and take the time to explain the problem if there was one and what they did to fix it. 10 outta 10 for a great business with fantastic service.

Greg Murray, aka ‘the car doctor', is fantastic. He provided us with a thorough check on our car and did quality service work on the problems that we did have. Professional & efficent, and works in a very timely manner. We were told our car wouldn't be ready until 2pm but were pleasantly surprised when we had a phone call saying that our car was ready to be picked up at 11am (we only dropped it off at 8am). We've never had any problems and would highly recommend getting your car serviced by the car doctor.

Took my de-registered Honda Jazz to The Car Doctors - great effort and honest feedback provided by all staff involved to ensure a safe, roadworthy vehicle.

I visited Car Doctor in Aug 2011. I got an amazing impression.
I was suggested that it is not necessary for major service as everything seemed minor service is okay.
My car got the cheapest service in Canberra, only 139 bulks.
