We were really lucky to not have to wait for a table (2 of us) when we got there on a Saturday. I suppose we were pretty early, before 7am. Thereafter, the restaurant filled up very quickly.

The service is friendly and our waitstaff (probably the supervisor/manager) was really good at recommending dishes for us, including the quantities. Not many establishments have waitstaff who are able and willing to recommend.

We had the Filipino sausage (eaten as per Sang Choy Bow) and soft shell crab for starters and it was bursting with flavour... For mains, we ordered Smoked Trout Fried Rice and Gaiyang Chicken (note: it is served on the bone). Both were again, delicious and moorish. Very robust flavours. We shared the black sticky rice dessert and it was pretty ok, nothing to shout about.

The bill came up to about $140 inclusive of around $35 worth of drinks. Not too bad for the food.

The only negative is that it got really noisy with voices and background music that it was hard to have a conversation. And we did feel quite thirsty a couple of hours after the meal, probably due to salt or msg? (not sure). But gee, the meals were tasty!

A must visit.
