My 12 year old labrador had a 2kg tumour attached to his ribs. Yes it cost around $8K but he is now running around (almost) as good as new. The staff were wonderful and the surgeon explained everything that was going to happen, my vet believes that Chris is one of the best surgeons around.

I was there only just recently and my 12 yr old dog has been diagnosed with cancer as a result. He's not 100% certain but he said there was a 90% chance and he couldn't guarantee unless he did I biopsy which was going to cost another $500! Let's add up the costs. xray's- $1800 + $400 (local vet), that's $2200 already and the surgery was going to cost another $2500, that's almost $5000 and she most likely has cancer and that has disabled her back legs so she can't walk. The surgery had no guarantee that it was going to prevent can cancer so all we're going to do now is take care of her until we feel that she's had enough and she can go peacefully.

I've a lab. When he was six months old he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. He was fitted with an artifical hip. When I went to pick the dog up the price had increased by $500 from the original quote. After six weeks of recouperation, the lab was still not walking properly. The Vet told me after more xrays (not free) that the ball joint had popped out of its socket. It had to be put back in place. You would think that this would be at no cost, but he charged me a further $2500 to repair his operation. I was not at all impressed. The only reason that I would use his services again is because he is a brilliant surgeon. It would be benefical to his business if he ceased his arrogant demeanour and charged reasonable prices. I am on a pension, and that $7500 hurt. But I suppose that it paid for a dozen bottles of Grange!

These people are gifted surgeons. They took our dog which had been struck by a truck and rebuilt her back legs. It was expensive, but we don't regret the money spent, and our dog is as fit as she ever was. The staff really care about the animals they see, and they're honest about what to expect.

My sister in law had a terrible experience with this vet. She took her dog out of this vets care and had to find another vet to try and save her dog. Sadly her much loved dog had to be put to sleep. I believe she even submitted a complaint to the Vet Board of Victoria regarding one of the vets.
