Took the kids here a couple of days ago & they had a ball there. We actually bought our tickets because Scoopon had a deal on so it only cost us $39 for a family pass which was very worth it for a family day outing. We took our own packed lunch & some frozen poppers & water. The actual zoo is not overly big, but it was interesting & fun for the kids.

Approximate cost: $39.00

This is a great little zoo that is quite affordable to get into & there is quite a bit to see. They also offer animal encounters which are a great price & that gets you up close & personal to the animal of your choice. My daughter had an encounter with a red panda which she really enjoyed & she got a free photo of her choice to keep as a souvineer. Well worth a visit

What a great place. Unlike the theme parks which are overrun with people and cost a fortune to even walk in the door, this is affordable for the family AND they allow outside food (keeping hte price down even further for the day out).
Heaps to see and do.... the kids loved feeding the animals. Fun day out for all.....
(My mum has a picture of ME at Alma Park Zoo when I was little. I'm sitting with the kangaroos eating their feed and they are all around me wondering what is this kid doing?? Ahhh the memories....)

We took our kids here recently as I realised I hadn't been here since I was a kid and was pleasantly surprised. They have a really good variety of animals and lots of hands on feeding of the animals the kids can do. My daughter just loved feeding the kangaroos. It's also a really good sized zoo for small kids, you can see the whole zoo without getting exhausted unlike some of the bigger zoo. My best tip or families is pack a picnic lunch as their are loads of nice spots to sit and enjoy a nice lunch with your family.

This is a great little zoo especially to take the kids and not cost the earth. The downside I had to this zoo is that some of the animal cages seem somewhat small and I felt sorry for the animals locked up in such small spaces. The staff were friendly and the park clean and tidy. I would happily take our son back there.

We went here last November for my son's 5th birthday. We decided on this zoo beacuse other zoos in the area were too expensive for us. We took our nephew with us and the two boys had a wonderful time visiting the animals and patting kangaroos and looking at different animals. It was very educational as well as they hadn't seen some of the animals before that are at this zoo. The beautiful sunbear was one of those animals. They have a wide variety of animals that people can see and you are welcome to bring your own food, have a barbecue in their lovely shady picnic area with their provided barbecues or dine in their cafe. There are also animal and reptile presentations with the opportunity to have a photo taken with a reptile or an animal at an extra cost. It is a great place to visit and we will go there again.

Approximate cost: $20.00

Great place to take the kids and have a day out without paying exorbitant prices. Bring your own food and have a nice picnic while the free animals wander about you and have great interactive moments with most of the animals. Only negative is that it's a bit hard to get around with a stroller but it's manageable :)

Approximate cost: $105/family

i had a wonderful 6 slow hours walking around and getting help from the staff, and made to feel important. the animals are all well cared for and seem to come to life (except when it is REALLY hot, which i didn't blame them for. great food at cafe, great service, and generally great

Brought a family pass & went on the weekend. It wasn't too bad. The cafe was abit expe site as to be expected at those places. Seemed like a friendly family type business thing. Was a nice day with lots of animals to see & feed!

Bought family ticket + extra to take grandchildren. They loved it and enjoyed their day. Thought it was a little overpriced if u wanted an experience to handle koala or hold snake etc. when there are 4 children.
