State of the art facilities

AAERC was the first animal emergency centre in Adelaide, and we’ve been in operation since 1987. Since 2010, our specialist and referral veterinarians have been accepting complicated or difficult cases for workup and treatment. At AAERC, we see pets for a variety of illnesses and injury through all our departments, including Emergency, Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, and Dentistry. With a staff of over 65 employees, including 21 vets and 32 nurses, our departments work closely together to ensure the very best outcome for your pet. Our staff have gold standard technology at their disposal, including automated laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, advanced anaesthesia, CT imaging, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, and advanced diagnostic and monitoring equipment to give your pet the very best care possible. Our recently renovated centre features three operating theatres, an emergency room, ICU, four consulting rooms, two dog wards, a cat ward, an isolation ward, an exotics ward, patient recovery area, surgical preparation area, administration departments, CT and imaging suites, dentistry suite, laboratory and a fully stocked pharmacy.

Vet Pay and Insurance

At AAERC, we understand that unexpected veterinary costs can be very stressful. We are pleased to be able to offer a solution. VetPay offers pet owners financial piece of mind by providing credit and affordable payment plans to approved applicants. Pet owners may apply online at home for pre-approval for planned costs such as large surgeries, or can apply within the clinic with reception at the time of treatment. If approved, following a deposit VetPay will cover your veterinary bills at AAERC, and will then debit your bank account, allowing you to spread the costs of treatment for your pet over a period of 13 months. Terms and conditions apply. Please click on below link for details.

Pet insurance is becoming more and more popular in Australia, and for good reason. Pet insurance allows pet owners to receive reimbursement for the cost of veterinary treatment following submission of a valid claim. Pet owners are required to finalise their invoice with AAERC for the full cost of care following your pet’s treatment; it is then a simple matter to submit a claim (usually online) with your chosen insurance company. Individual companies and policies vary in their coverage, and some dog and cat breeds may not be covered for certain conditions, so as always, it is important to read the fine print before deciding on a policy.
