The Lodge offers the Gap healthier eating alternatives e.g. protein balls, in addition to its coffee. It's a great little cafe, which is also very kid-friendly.
You can find Red Baron Coffee in both Milton and Bardon. They make a great coffee, have friendly staff and just as something different, their Milton store was created from a used shipping container.
Matt, Greg and Lucas do such a wonderful job of running this small coffee shop. With great coffee, food and conversation, they keep the customers coming back. If you're in the Teneriffe area, it's definitely worth stopping by.
I really wish Brisbane had Little Cupcakes - I love the idea! I visited this store whilst in Melbourne, after hearing about it and it was well worth the trip. They sell all different flavours of small cupcakes and they would make a really cute present for friends, family or let's be honest...self.
I had breakfast here a couple of years ago and thought the food wasn't the best, as they undercooked our eggs. I thought I'd try again 3 years later but unfortunately things remain unchanged. The service wasn't the best and they got orders mixed up and forgot things we had ordered. It's unfortunate because they're one of the few breakfast places available in the area.
Approximate cost: $12.00
Fresco's On Ice is relatively new to The Gap and has amazing fresh, fish products. On top of selling fresh seafood, they also offer a takeaway service. Prices are reasonable and the food is not heavily greasy, like other takeaway places. I would definitely recommend this shop to others.
Approximate cost: $16.00
I really enjoyed my experience at Holistic Health. The staff were very friendly and it was nice to get out of the office. I enjoyed time in a spa and a massage with a friend. Whilst the place isn't overly big, it doesn't need to be.
I experienced a great sense of relaxation when using the services of The Dome Retreat on a Melbourne Cup day at the Marriott in Brisbane. It was a treat and very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend them to others.
I enjoyed training at Jetts fitness, as I could go when I liked and it was open 24/7. Whilst Jetts doesn't have classes, you can always join bootcamps and the value was great! It still had everything a normal gym should have - including showers, toilets, a weight area, personal trainers and cardio equipment.
A very relaxing place to go on a weekend to do Yoga. The instructors are really friendly and the classes are easy going. Worth a try if you're new to Yoga or appreciate good value classes.
