As i have a one year old boy who is currently training himself in 'taking over the world....right now' i find i am constantly having to run back and forth to the shops for the little things. hes such a cute distraction i can do the shopping, enough to last a month even, yet ill forget the One thing i HAD to get, like nappies. so multiple trips to the shops are often! priceline at munno para is my god-sent gift!!! not only has it catered to my needs before bub came along, but now i find myself doing the "dash back to the shops cos i forgot something again" straight to the priceline. its easily located and accessible (center entrance at the front of the munno para shopping complex), but what works best for me is the hours! they're open from 8am (?) until 9pm, seven days a week! plus they're not just a chemist - even though the baby panadol and cold and flu tablets i have many a time dashed over there for - for a smaller pharmacy, they stock quite a large range of everyday items from batteries to loo paper, from make-up to deodorants, haircare to nailcare....but most important to me - baby necessities!!! the staff are friendly, warm and knowledgable. even the actual pharmacists! (i say that not to stereotype them, but lets face it, how many pharmacists ever actually even make eye contact let alone speak to you!?!?). i went in there about a fortnight ago suffering from fluid retention in my feet (it hasnt happened in about 2 years but it is very painful, walking is not a pleasant experience), it was 8:53pm and i practically crawl in the store taking a long time to look for something to decrease the swelling in my feet and relieve my pain. most people, myself included, at that time of the day would be wanting to get home, who cares about the customers, its home-time....Get out or ill lock you in! i had one staff member come check if i was ok or needed a hand - not in a rushing manner, simply asking if she could help find anything for me. after grabbing a few of her recommendations i was led to the back of the chemist where the pharmacists are and the girl helping me went and asked a pharmacist a question on my behalf. to my surprise, the pharmacist came out and spoke to me! not only did she answer ALL of my questions, but we ended up chatting for over half an hour about different remedies i could try, some she had used personally, and she gave me a parting gift of a bag full of bathing salts to soak my sore feet in - for free!!! so overall, a chemist that has everything i need and more, is open the extra hours that everyone needs from time to time, and people in it that are obviously that happy in their job they dont mind staying back a bit and helping you out - i say it again, priceline is my God-sent gift!!!

munno para shopping centre is a much smaller scale elizabeth city centre, so there isn't a wide variety of stores, but most of the stores running in M.P.S.C are much more pleasant and relaxing to shop in. Jay Jay's - i believe - is by far the best, and amongst the top out of all of the Jay Jay's stores! The staff at munno para i have gotten to know over time and no matter the weather, are always friendly, they remember you - so the atmosphere is always welcoming - and they know their products!! the amount of times i have walked into even a huge department store to buy clothes, etc. and to find a staff member, let alone one that knows anything about what they sell (i have even experienced some that couldn't tell me where their department was!!!), is a miracle. so to actually walk into a store knowing what you want, having a staff member greet you at the front entrance, able to point you straight towards exactly what your after, that can tell you if they have your size, help you with fittings and the price is awesome....you cant get better than that!!
